Marble Arch Suite 2
First Impressions
Walking up to Marble Arch Suite 2 on Connaught Street, you’ll notice it sits in one of those classic London terraced buildings that just feels right. The Tyburnia area has this quiet residential vibe that’s honestly refreshing after dealing with the usual tourist crowds. It’s tucked away enough that you feel like you’ve discovered something locals know about, but close enough to everything that matters.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally two minutes from Marble Arch tube station, which means the Central and Elizabeth lines are right there. London suddenly becomes way more manageable when you can hop on the Elizabeth line and be at Heathrow in 45 minutes or zip over to Canary Wharf without thinking twice. Hyde Park is across the street (and I mean literally across), so morning runs or evening walks just happen naturally.
The Space Itself
This four-star apartment feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place than a typical hotel room. The kitchen is actually functional — not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes where you can barely boil water. I mean, you’ve got proper counter space and everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Waitrose down the street. The living area has this comfortable, lived-in quality that makes you want to settle in with a book.
What Makes It Work
The thing about Connaught Street that most people don’t realize is how foodie-friendly it’s become. You’ve got Maroush for incredible Lebanese food practically next door, and some really solid pubs within a five-minute walk. There’s also this great little Italian place called Il Baretto that locals actually go to — always a good sign. The apartment gives you the option to cook, but honestly, with these options right outside, you might not bother much.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me most is how this place nails that sweet spot between independence and service. You get your own space to spread out, but there’s still proper support when you need it. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything works — from check-in to the little touches that show someone actually cares about your stay. Plus, you know what? Sometimes it’s nice to have a proper sofa to collapse on after walking around London all day, rather than just a hotel bed and a tiny chair.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in London before spring brings blossom-lined parks, pop-up exhibitions, and warm evening strolls.
