Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Manor House Studios By Morethanstays on Hermitage Road, you get this immediate sense that you’ve found something a bit different. It’s not your typical hotel setup — honestly, it feels more like stumbling upon a collection of thoughtfully designed studios tucked away in a converted Victorian building. The entrance has this understated charm that doesn’t scream “tourist accommodation,” which I actually really appreciated.
The Studio Experience
Each apartment here is essentially a self-contained world, and that’s where this four-star property really shines. The kitchen isn’t just some afterthought with a mini-fridge — we’re talking proper cooking facilities with everything you’d need to whip up breakfast or even a decent dinner. The living spaces feel surprisingly spacious for London, with high ceilings that give you room to breathe. You know what struck me most? The way they’ve managed to blend modern amenities with the building’s original character features.
Location & Getting Around
Finsbury Park is about a ten-minute walk, which means you’re connected to basically everywhere via the Piccadilly line — direct shots to King’s Cross, Russell Square, or straight through to Heathrow. But here’s the thing locals know: this stretch of North London has this fantastic mix of proper neighborhood feel with easy access to central attractions. There’s parking available too, which anyone who’s tried to navigate London with a car will tell you is worth its weight in gold.
Neighborhood Character
The area around Hermitage Road has this lived-in authenticity that you don’t get in touristy zones. There’s a brilliant little Turkish restaurant just around the corner that does incredible meze, and the morning coffee run takes you past these gorgeous Victorian terraces that make you feel like you’re getting a real slice of London life. I mean, you’re still close enough to hop over to Camden or Islington when you want that urban buzz, but you can actually sleep at night without sirens every hour.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets Manor House Studios apart is how it solves that classic London accommodation dilemma — you get proper space and independence without paying West End prices or sacrificing accessibility. The room layouts work brilliantly for longer stays or when you’re traveling with family, giving everyone space to spread out. Plus, having your own cooking facilities means you can save money on meals and actually enjoy some downtime instead of constantly hunting for restaurants. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’re living in London rather than just visiting it.

"Nice apartment close to public transport"
Nice apartment, suitable for a family of four, only 10 minutes walk to the metro. The bus station was even closer and brings you directly to the city center. The communication with the host was very good
What could be improved: The bed was not the most comfortable, but nothing else to complain about

"Superb"
Well appointed position. Quiet area. Comfortable, clean studio. Enjoyed our time there.
What could be improved: The sound of the movement of upstairs residents, especially at night. Surprising
for a relatively new building.

"Great for what we needed but a shame about the level of noise due to the build of the property and neighbours"
Clean and good location
What could be improved: Very hot and noisy. Whoever lives upstairs stays up late and it’s sounds like a child is running around. You could hear everything

"Small, modern and clean studio."
Small, cute, clean. Little flat that is equipped with kitchen, washer and fast wifi.
Owner is extremely responsive and quick in helping with whatever needed (bed linen, spare keys, internet, heater). There is no AI here but a real person who cares.
What could be improved: Neighbors were a bit noisy.

Clean and bright. Pleasant!
What could be improved: Bed not very comfortable. Could hear neighbours upstairs clearly as they walked about late at night.

"A peaceful stay in London"
The accommodation is located in a quiet part of London, but there is a bus stop and an underground station nearby and you can get to the center very easily. The accommodation was well furnished and clean. Self-service check-in and check-out is convenient and easy. :-)
What could be improved: A refundable deposit is required for the accommodation in advance (in case something was destroyed), but there was no problem with the return. The sunroof leaked a bit when it rained. But we were accommodated in July, it will probably be fixed by now.

"Very good"
The place was nice and functional and at a very good location. All the appliances were basic but fine for the price. We had everything we needed for a one-week stay in London. Everything was easy to use and find..
Thank you!
What could be improved: Furniture was very basic but ok for the the price. It was generally clean, but there were some minor scrapes and stains on the furniture and we had to clean the oven before using.

"Very well-thought out!"
They thought of (almost) everything! Down to the coffee pods for the coffee machine & detergent pods for the washer/ dryer! I was very impressed indeed. Great for small families.
What could be improved: No cleaning or rubbish collection for the entire stay.

"Great place, lovely vibe, especially with the helpful outdoor space"
What could be improved: Everything was great, exceeded expectations. The only very minor downside is the duvet and pillows.
