Overview
First Impressions
The Luxury Fulham 3 bedroom Garden House sits on a quiet residential street that honestly feels worlds away from central London’s chaos — though you’re actually just minutes from it all. When I first walked up Sedlescombe Road, I was struck by how this four-star property manages to feel like a proper London home rather than your typical tourist accommodation. The garden frontage immediately caught my eye, which makes sense given the name, and there’s something genuinely welcoming about the whole setup.
The Space Itself
Inside, you get what amounts to your own London townhouse for however long you’re staying. The three bedrooms are spread across multiple floors — something that takes a bit of getting used to if you’re not familiar with how these Victorian conversions work. Each room has its own character, and I mean that in the best way possible; they’re not cookie-cutter hotel rooms but spaces that actually feel lived-in and comfortable.
Kitchen and Living Areas
The kitchen deserves a mention because it’s properly equipped — not just the usual kettle and mini-fridge situation you sometimes get with London accommodations. I’m talking full-size appliances, decent cookware, the works. The living areas flow naturally between indoor and outdoor spaces, and that garden I mentioned? It’s genuinely lovely, especially if you manage to catch London during one of its rare sunny spells.
Location and Getting Around
Hammersmith and Fulham is one of those areas that locals love but tourists often overlook — which honestly works in your favor. You’re close enough to South Kensington’s museums and Chelsea’s boutiques, but you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically residential. The transport links are solid; you can get into central London without too much hassle, but you’re also within walking distance of some excellent local pubs and that stretch of the Thames that’s perfect for morning runs.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is the sense of space — something that’s genuinely hard to find in London without paying through the nose. The 7.9 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting a whole house rather than cramped hotel rooms, plus there’s parking available, which anyone who’s driven in London will tell you is worth its weight in gold. It’s the kind of place where you can actually spread out, cook a proper meal, and feel like you’re living in London rather than just passing through it.

"Superb"
Perfect location, very clean and well equipped kitchen 👌
What could be improved: It's very noisy on a morning with the fruit and vegetable vans outside.

"We had a great time staying at the Fulham house. We enjoyed our stay and felt incredibly safe."
It was convenient to the tube and there was grocery right next-door and lots of cute bakeries!

"Very good"
The house is beautifully decorated, in a great location. The beds are comfortable. One of the basement rooms is very spacious and comfortable. Bonuses are the two additional terraces. The kitchen is well equipped.
What could be improved: The shower in the basement north room is leaking and is not usable. The shower next to the living room barely drains.
One bed had no bottom sheet, there were not enough towels, but that was quickly resolved by owner.
Although we are all sporty women between 40-60 years old, the stairs to the kitchen were quite a struggle for us.
The conditioner containers contain shampoo
The shelf next to the TV in the living room is very rickety and dangerous because there is a glass vase on it.

"Expensive but that’s London for you. I’d stay in a nicer suburb,"
Big enough for a family of 4. Grocery store across the road was handy and great fruit and veg markets next door.
What could be improved: It was over 4 levels it looks like it would have been a garage at some point and turned into a 4 level home. The kitchen was to the top. Location was not very nice. Tube was close but nothing nice in the location

"Clean and comfortable in Fulham"
The property is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood with restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping all within a few minutes walk. The West Brompton Underground station is a short walk away. The home was clean and the beds comfortable. The owner was quick to respond to any inquiry.
What could be improved: We were two active couples in their 70s who had some issues navigating the home. There is minimal space around the beds and 3 long flights of stairs to get to the kitchen. While we had a pleasant stay, the house is better suited for younger folks.

What could be improved: No hot water on the 1st morning but this was quickly fixed. No welcome pack

Great interiors
What could be improved: The location is not bad because it's next to many shops but is far away from the center.

"This house was a gem - beautiful, spacious, comfortable and in a very convenient location for Westminster, Tower Hill an"
Location was excellent on the District Line. There are shops, pubs and restaurants just around the corner. Every bedroom has full facilities like ensuite, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. The house is stylish and very comfortable. The owners have put in a lot of effort to include everything you’d need for a short stay (we stayed 5 nights) including refreshments and a couple of small bottles of wine. It was delightful.
What could be improved: Lots of stairs if you have mobility issues but we were fine. We were given the wrong code to the front door which made it seem very difficult to enter. Once we had the right code however it was easy.

"Perfect house for groups and teenager family"
The landlord was accommodating and kept us informed. The house was clean and bright. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was perfect for us with teenagers. The layout is very different from a standard home. The bedrooms are on the lower floor. It was perfect for us. We will book again when in London with friends.
What could be improved: N/A

"Great location and space for family adventure"
The location was perfect for reaching all parts of the city. The house was very clean. Good pressure in the showers.
What could be improved: The kitchen was very lacking in cooking items. No baking pans. Limited utensils. Would have been helpful to have manuals for washer and oven, had to google manuals to learn which buttons to use. The TV connection didn’t work in any of the rooms minimizing ability to enjoy TV in the evenings.
