Luxury 2BR flat at Waterloo near London Eye and Big Ben
First Impressions
Luxury 2BR flat at Waterloo near London Eye and Big Ben sits right on Kennington Road, and honestly, when I first walked up to the building, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name. But once you’re inside this four-star place, it becomes clear why it’s got that perfect 10 rating. The flat feels genuinely homey rather than hotel-sterile, which is exactly what you want when you’re planning to stay more than a night or two.
Location Magic
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re actually in London proper, not some tourist bubble. Waterloo Station is practically on your doorstep — I mean, you can walk there in about eight minutes with luggage. The Thames is right there too, and those iconic sights everyone talks about are genuinely walkable. I did the stroll to Big Ben in roughly fifteen minutes, and the London Eye took maybe ten. But here’s the thing locals know: you’re also surrounded by proper London life, with Borough Market just across the river and some seriously good pubs tucked into the surrounding streets.
The Space Itself
This isn’t your typical cramped London apartment — the two bedrooms actually feel spacious, and there’s a proper living area where you can spread out. The kitchen is fully kitted out, which saved me a fortune since London eating out gets expensive fast. I actually cooked a few meals using ingredients from the nearby Tesco Metro, and it felt surprisingly normal. Each room has decent storage space too, something you don’t always get in city accommodations.
Practical Considerations
The building itself is well-maintained, and the flat comes with all those little things that matter when you’re settling in somewhere new. Wi-Fi works perfectly (I was working remotely for part of my stay), and the heating actually functions properly — not always a given in older London properties. There’s no parking on-site, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The public transport connections are so good that I barely thought about it after the first day.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel like a proper London home while still being walking distance from all the major sights. You get the best of both worlds — you can pop out for a quick photo at Westminster Bridge, then come back to a quiet street where actual Londoners live and work. The value is exceptional too, especially when you factor in having a full kitchen and enough space for a group or family to actually relax together. It’s the sort of place where you end up staying longer than planned because it just works.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
