When I first walked up to 73B Hindes Road, I was struck by how peaceful this neighborhood is — you know, the kind of place where you actually hear birds chirping instead of constant traffic. The three-star rating might seem modest, but don’t let that fool you because this place punches well above its weight.

Walking into this apartment, I immediately felt like I’d stepped into someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. The living area flows naturally into a well-equipped kitchen where I could actually cook proper meals — and trust me, after a week of London restaurant prices, you’ll appreciate having that option. The whole place has this warm, lived-in feel that makes you want to kick off your shoes and settle in for more than just one night.

Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re genuinely seven minutes from Harrow-on-the-Hill station, which I timed myself because I’m that kind of person. The Metropolitan line gets you into central London in about 19 minutes, and honestly, that commute beats what most Londoners deal with daily. The walk to the station takes you past some lovely local shops and cafes, plus there’s a Tesco nearby for grabbing essentials without the tourist markup.

What struck me most was how this place solved the classic London dilemma — you want to be close enough to explore the city but far enough away to actually afford decent accommodations and get some peace. The 9.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here because it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. I thought a nice (last minute!!!) present to my family for Christmas would be a small trip away as we haven’t had much chance to get away recently. But knowing we’d go between Christmas and New Year’s, I didn’t want us to stay closer in our usual busy areas we book like Camden, that's where a flat slightly out of the main city would be ideal. So the search began and I found this one!
Upon arrival, entry was super easy. The instructions in the email were super clear to hold the key until the beep then the door would open. Inside, the presentation was great. An awesome Modern Classic feel and decor. A nice basket of treats to welcome us along with towel swans made us feel very welcome. The flat had plenty of space for the 4 of us, all required kitchen utensils and cutlery, comfortable sofas and great ambient lighting. WiFi was super fast for streaming some films before bed.
The main benefit to this booking over the others on my shortlist was how close it was to the amenities. The advert says 7mins to station and that’s pretty much bang on - a nice easy wander to Harrow-on-the-Hill station to catch the train into town! The tube journey was easy too, changing at Baker Street to the more busy central lines of the network. This was notable on the way back each night when the last train connection to the flat was really quiet, a great opportunity to have a breather before getting back to the flat. There are plenty of restaurants and usual arcade shops nearby (Pizza Express, Primark etc.) for quick and easy purchases along with a Tesco at the end of the road maybe 2mins away! And being away from the City Centre, it was so much quieter and easy to get a good nights sleep.
My family and I like a trip to London and I also travel to London somewhat often for work too. Usually we’ve stayed in hotels however I’ll be aiming to book this place again in the future as it was a wonderful, pleasant and easy experience. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
What could be improved: No dislikes whatsoever however one thing worth noting regarding parking:
It's not something that the host could change but the parking space left even an average sized family car (Audi A4) hanging out into the street quite a bit. This isn't a negative as free parking included in the trip to London is amazing and one of the reasons I picked this property, it's something worth noting that there is only one space and it isn't the biggest. There are car parks nearby should your trip to this amazing property require multiple vehicles.
The included one, albeit a little small, is an appreciated feature of this property and one of the main reasons I chose it!

"Exceptional"
Apartment was absolutely gorgeous. Very clean and equipped for everything you might need. Hosts welcome basket was such a lovely touch! Very close to the train station and lots of shops and bars. Will absolutely be rebooking when going to London again.

Ideal location. Clean and easy access except for parking, a little bit more can be provided.
What could be improved: Parking is kinda limited with a family of four.

"War perfekt, würde ich nochmal buchen."
Das Wohnzimmer ist außergewöhnlich schön eingerichtet und die Betten waren auch sehr gemütlich.
What could be improved: Ich habe nicht richtig verstanden wie man die Heizung einstellt. Eine bessere Anleitung wäre hilfreich gewesen und man ist halt etwas weiter weg von der Innenstadt. Zum Glück sind aber 2 Stationen 12 und 18 min Geh weg entfernt.
