Overview
First Impressions
Luxurious Apartments on Oxford Street caught me off guard — honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like a generic name, but stepping into Gilbert Court felt like discovering a hidden pocket of calm. The entrance is tucked away from the Oxford Street chaos, which you’ll appreciate after battling through the crowds outside. It’s one of those four-star places that knows exactly what it’s doing without making a big fuss about it.
Location Magic
Here’s the thing about being right on Oxford Street — you’re literally in the eye of London’s shopping storm, but Gilbert Court acts like a secret escape hatch. I mean, Selfridges is practically next door, and you can walk to Marble Arch in about three minutes. The Tube connections are ridiculous — Bond Street and Marble Arch stations both within spitting distance, so getting anywhere in the city is pretty effortless.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t your typical hotel rooms, and that’s exactly the point. Each apartment comes with a proper kitchen setup — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual cooking space with everything you need. The living areas feel surprisingly spacious for central London, though you know what, the street-facing units can get a bit noisy during peak shopping hours. Still, there’s something nice about having your own space to spread out after a long day of sightseeing.
Westminster Borough Perks
Being in Westminster Borough means you’re walking distance from some seriously good stuff that tourists often miss. There’s this little restaurant called Roka just around the corner that locals actually go to, and the Wallace Collection is a five-minute stroll if you want culture without the British Museum crowds. The area feels properly London — not like those sanitized hotel districts that could be anywhere.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the balance — you get the independence of having your own place without sacrificing the convenience of hotel-style service. The staff actually know the neighborhood and can point you toward things worth doing, not just the obvious tourist traps. Plus, having a kitchen means you can grab groceries from the Waitrose down the street and save some money on London’s expensive dining scene. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but for exploring central London while having somewhere comfortable to retreat to, it hits the mark perfectly.

"Would stay, but we would not book it again with the steps. It’s not sure you could fix though"
Great location and great to have a kitchen and a lift was definitely invaluable
What could be improved: We were travelling with my 85 year old father and he found the high steps into the bathroom incredibly dangerous and difficult. If we had prior knowledge of this we would not have booked the apartment.
It would have been good to have a bath mat and some teaspoons and a tea towel in the kitchen.

"Great location, spacious apartment, clean and updated."
Location is near Bond Street tube station. Near lots of shopping and restaurants.
I rented the 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom. Unit was clean and bathrooms were updated and clean.
There were air conditioners in each bedroom and living room.
Although on Oxford street the noise quieted down by 10 PM.
What could be improved: Unit was supposed to be ready at 2 and it wasn’t ready until 4:30.
This is an older building and when you walk in the front entrance of the building it is old and dirty but once in the apartment it was clean and comfortable.

"Very good"
No complaints. Exceptionally clean
What could be improved: Checking in and out times are very strict. We had to sit outside for a couple of hours both before and after until right on checking time after a long travel time

"Thanks for having us we had a wonderful stay."
It was clean, with a very old world feel. The location was fantastic, right on Oxford Street, next to two train lines. The doorman/desk clerk was curtious. The elevator reminded me of something from another era but worked without fault even though it was a little small.
What could be improved: There was no lounge or place to sit. Two queen beds for 4 people in 1 room didn’t allow for luggage to be easily accessed. With only a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, we did need to go outside to change our minds. The kitchen became the dressing room! There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, it got steamy

"The best location we found of this hotel."
The location is amazing. Very very convenient. Dated but comfortable. It is located right next to bond street station. 👍👍
What could be improved: It’s need more towels for the guest to use. It was only one towel available.

"Great location only."
Awesome location, good size, with mini air con which is very helpful as we may want to close windows to minimize some undesirable noise from some protesters on the sidewalk right in front of the apartment.
What could be improved: Strong smell of paints and no pan, salt, pepper.

Very kind

"Good stay, although pricey even by London standards"
Spotlessly clean; well appointed with all the toiletries and kitchenwares. The rooms were kind of compact, but given that the location is prime Oxford Street, this is to be expected
What could be improved: As our flat faced Oxford Street, it was very loud throughout the night. Not the apartment operator’s fault. The lift was very tiny. Interaction with the host is only through messages.

Great location
What could be improved: Everything was great. My only advice is provide more details as to where the property was. Maybe send a picture to the renters before they come
