Overview
First Impressions
Luna 218 flat 3 at Marble Arch sits right on Edgware Road, and honestly, the location is what grabbed me first. This three-star apartment-style accommodation isn’t trying to be something it’s not — it’s a straightforward place that works really well if you want to feel like you’re actually living in London rather than just visiting. The building itself is typical Victorian London, which means character but also means you’ll hear the occasional creak.
The Space Itself
The apartment has that lived-in feel that some people love and others might find a bit too real. What I appreciated was having an actual kitchen — not just a mini-fridge situation, but proper appliances where you can make coffee the way you like it or throw together a quick meal. The room layout is practical rather than Instagram-worthy, but there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase, which is more than I can say for a lot of London hotels in this price range.
Location Perks
Being on Edgware Road means you’re in the thick of London’s Middle Eastern quarter — the Lebanese restaurants here are incredible, and you’ll find some of the best shawarma outside of Beirut just steps from your door. Marble Arch tube station is maybe a seven-minute walk, which puts you two stops from Oxford Circus or a quick ride to anywhere central. You know what’s actually great? There’s a Marks & Spencer around the corner for groceries, and several late-night spots if you need anything.
The Reality Check
Look, this isn’t a place where someone’s going to fold your towels into swan shapes. The building can get a bit noisy — you’re on a main road, so there’s traffic, and the walls aren’t exactly soundproof. But if you’re the kind of traveler who’s out exploring most of the day anyway, it really doesn’t matter. The parking situation is typical London chaos (meaning expensive and complicated), so honestly, just use public transport.
Why Guests Love It
What works here is the independence factor — you get your own space without hotel restrictions, plus you’re staying in a neighborhood that feels authentically London rather than tourist-central. The price point makes sense for what you get, especially considering you’re saving money by being able to cook some meals instead of eating out for everything. It’s not fancy, but it’s real London living, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a trip.

"Pleasant"
Everything like in the pictures. Nothing less, nothing more.
Basic appliances and dishes are available.
Bakerloo/Central/District lines within 5-7min reach, very convenient.
What could be improved: We didn’t have any heating (with barely 8 degrees C and rain outside) also after informing host, it was not turned on. The window was not in good condition, we felt draught.
The majority of lights ir bathroom was out of order.

"Decent apartment, but with some important downsides"
The apartment was ok overall. There are bus stops right outside the building, and the metro station is also close by. Plenty of shops in the area. It was very hot during our stay, and since there is no air conditioning, we had to sleep with the windows open. Be aware that many emergency vehicles (ambulances, police) pass by, which can be noisy at night. We knew this was a busy area, but it's something to consider. The apartment is on the third floor, and the staircase is quite narrow.
What could be improved: The apartment has potential, but there are a few aspects that need improvement. The cleanliness did not meet my expectations, and the towels and bed linens did not have a fresh scent. Additionally, the kitchen and bathroom could use some modernization or renovation.

"Good"
Location overall - close to metro/train station/ national express coach stop. Budget friendly for short trip
What could be improved: The pull out bed was not good for back. Strange knocking in the middle of the night from neighbour apartment.

"Good but noisy"
It is near a bus stop and underground service. Street full of restaurants, cafés and supermarkets. Near to Marble Arch, High Park, and Oxford Street. The apartment was clean.
What could be improved: Very noisy street day and night: 1 o 2 police or ambulance passed through every night.
The apartment is on a third floor without an elevator and very narrow stairs. Not big issue, but keep that in mind.

"Passable stay, good location, gets the job done (Warning: 3rd floor, no lift)"
The location and surroundings were very nice - most of the iconic places were a bus ride away
The check-in and check-out experience was quite smooth and without any issue
The room itself was quite clean and tidy, had no issues there
What could be improved: The room was on the 3rd floor and this was not communicated in any way at the time of booking; this could be considered a major misrepresentation since the room was booked for a family, and a room on the 3rd floor with no lift is gruelling for someone with young kids.

La situation excellente pour ce tarif 🤩
What could be improved: C’est bruyant la nuit, mais c’est le centre de Londres 🤷♂️
