Lovely Rooms in Camden Town-Central London sits right on Camden High Street, and honestly, you can’t miss the energy the moment you step outside. This boutique property doesn’t chase star ratings — it’s got its own thing going on, which I actually found refreshing. The building itself has that classic London townhouse vibe, but inside you’ll find they’ve done something interesting with the space that feels both cozy and surprisingly modern.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? Camden is one of those neighborhoods that never really sleeps. The famous Camden Market is literally a three-minute walk away, and if you’re into live music, you’re practically neighbors with some of London’s best venues. I mean, The Roundhouse and Electric Ballroom are right there. Plus, Camden Town tube station is so close you could probably make it in your pajamas — though I wouldn’t recommend it.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully laid out, which seems to be the Camden way of doing things. The bed was comfortable enough for a proper night’s sleep, and there’s decent storage space considering we’re talking about central London real estate. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stayed despite being on such a busy street — they’ve clearly put some thought into soundproofing.
Practical Details
Each unit comes with its own little kitchen setup, which turned out to be more useful than I expected. There’s something satisfying about making your morning coffee while planning your day in London. The bathroom was clean and modern, though don’t expect a spa experience — this place is about function over frills. WiFi worked perfectly throughout my stay, and the heating kept things comfortable during those chilly London evenings.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you want to actually experience Camden rather than just visit it, this spot delivers. The staff genuinely seem to care about making your stay work, and there’s something authentic about the whole setup that you won’t find in the big chain hotels. You’re paying for location and character here — and in a city like London, sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

"1 night stay, double room"
Ideal Location for access to Camden, 15 minutes from the Roundhouse, the self check in was easy and communication was polite and efficient:)
Kitchenette was clean and well stocked with appliances, with facilities upstairs well kept also! Overall for the value for money for a short stay it was great
What could be improved: Room was indeed slightly small but I found it no issue

"Super comfortable stay in Camden"
- Awesome location, close to underground, many shops and restaurants all around (o'furn has delicious pizza and lumi has great breakfast choices)
- Excellent communication with host online
- Access to rooms by code (no key to worry about losing)
- Quiet surroundings despite a location right by the street (!), complementary ear plugs in the room (even though they turned out to be not needed)
- Access to a kitchen

"Host, location, cleanliness AMAZING!!"
Property is in on Camden high street, so you couldn’t be more central. 10 minute walk to the camden market, 3 minute walk to the tube station and shops and restaurants all around. We were seeing a concert in the centre of Camden so this was perfect for a one night stay. Very simple room, but everything you need for a 1 or 2 night stay. We actually wanted to extend for another night at last minute as we wanted to explore more but the room was already booked. Instead of just fobbing us off because the room was already booked, Hannah, the host, recommended us somewhere else in town that had availability. Hannah, was overall AMAZING, she couldn’t be more accommodating. Every time I messaged her she replied instantly with helpful advice, she allowed us to leave our suitcases in the property until we were ready to leave. Just amazing, couldn’t fault her hosting skills.
What could be improved: Honestly, we didn’t sleep great as it was extremely noisy. Outside noise, and noise from neighbours. I felt somewhat unsettled. Also, the towels provided were very small, and you only get one each I would recommend taking your own towel when you stay.

"Great location at a great price, perfect for gigs and the market!"
Fantastic location and great communication from the owner. The room was a great size with 2 good sized double beds with a much needed fan. Although it’s on the high street the double glazing does a great job keeping it relatively quiet.
What could be improved: The ONLY issue was that the radiator was on in the bathroom, and with the 30+ degrees we had it made the toilet/shower room almost unbearably hot.

"Brilliant location"
Brilliant location in Camden Town, only five minutes walk from the tube, excellent communication, very comfy bed, use of the kitchen with kettle, free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, fridge and cutlery glasses etc
What could be improved: Only two small windows which made it a little warm (hot weather day), but a big fan is provided, which really helped.

Super convenient for a gig night on Camden. Great location and good value. Comfy bed and fresh clean linen. A good nights sleep and good communication with the host 👍

"Good"
Room was very clean. A lot of items provided e.g a room fan. Security was good. I felt that a lot effort had been made to provide for guests to make up for deficiencies in the building.
What could be improved: Small room for 2 people, so rather cramped. Property is old and needs refurbishment.
