Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Lovely flat in Chelsea on Brechin Place, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere special” feeling. This apartment sits on one of those quintessentially London streets where the Victorian terraces are perfectly preserved and you can actually hear birds chirping instead of constant traffic. I mean, you’re in South Kensington here — this isn’t just any neighborhood, it’s the kind of place where locals walk their dogs to Hyde Park every morning.
The Space Itself
What struck me most about this four-star flat is how it manages to feel both sophisticated and livable at the same time. The room layouts make sense — you know how some London apartments can feel cramped and awkwardly configured? Not here. There’s actual space to spread out your suitcase without stubbing your toe on furniture every five minutes. The windows let in proper natural light, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re trying to shake off jet lag.
Location Perks
Here’s what I love about staying in this part of London — you’re basically equidistant from everything that matters. The Natural History Museum is maybe a seven-minute walk, and if you’re into the whole Harrods experience, it’s right there too. But what really sold me was discovering that little Polish deli around the corner and realizing I could grab fresh pastries without dealing with tourist crowds. The South Kensington tube station connects you everywhere, but honestly, I found myself walking most places because the area’s just that pleasant.
Practical Comforts
The kitchen setup actually works — I’m talking about a space where you can make real coffee in the morning, not just instant stuff from a tiny kettle. There’s proper counter space and appliances that don’t look like they’re from 1995. The whole flat has this thoughtful approach to amenities where everything you’d actually need is there, but it doesn’t feel cluttered with unnecessary extras. Even the parking situation is sorted, which anyone who’s tried to navigate London by car will tell you is no small feat.
Why Guests Love It
You know what sets this place apart from typical hotel stays? It’s the combination of being in a genuinely desirable London neighborhood while having the space and privacy of your own place. That 8.8 rating makes perfect sense when you factor in the location, the thoughtful setup, and the fact that you’re not dealing with hotel lobby crowds or breakfast buffet queues. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually imagine living in London for a while, rather than just visiting — and that’s exactly the feeling you want from a really good stay.

"Lovely apartment in a fantastic location"
Excellent location, very near a tube station. Nicely decorated. Especially liked the spacious living room.
What could be improved: Very minor issues as mentioned by other guests, the black painted worktop in the kitchen was a bit sticky and seemed very fragile, flaking in places. Looks like there is a nice wooden top underneath, I suggest stripping it back to the original wood!

"Pleasant and comfortable stay!"
Responsive and helpful staff, lots of space, amenities provided, relatively quiet neighborhood, convenient location to access restaurants and public transportation.
What could be improved: Basement level so carrying suitcases up and down stairs necessary.

"Absolutely perfect!"
Perfect size for 2 people! Rooms were good sized and beds comfy. Pillows could have been better (but that’s minute)
Perfect location with glouceste
What could be improved: We couldn’t figure out how to turn under floor heating off. Great if it was cold but the weather was quite warm during our stay and the heated flooring made it a bit stuffy

"Great cosy apartment in a fantastic location"
Fantastic location, flat was cosy and welcoming. Found lots of great places to eat within walking distance, easy to get around London with local tube connections.
What could be improved: I think the black wood worktops and integrated draining area in the kitchen are not the most hardwearing, there were a lot of pre-existing marks and I felt I had to be so careful as I wasn’t sure how water resistant they were.

"Overall, as a family with two children, we were satisfied with the house in terms of both amenities and location. Joivy"
A quiet building in a quiet neighborhood. Very easy to access. Centrally located near markets, restaurants, museums and tube stations. The bedrooms don’t get internet coverage, but overall the living room is fine. The kitchen equipments are sufficient for a household.
What could be improved: Kitchen worktop is problematic, it has been painted black. The paint has started to peel.

"Very good"
We had a great stay overall! The apartment is very spacious and spotlessly clean. Although it’s a basement unit, the large windows bring in plenty of natural light, so it doesn’t feel like a basement at all. The location is super convenient — just a 6-minute walk to the subway and nearby stores.
The beds were a bit on the smaller side for two guy friends to share — a wider bed would’ve definitely made things more comfortable. The only real downside was the kitchen counter. It’s been painted black, and unfortunately, the paint peels off very easily, even with gentle cleaning. I accidentally left a warm (not hot) pot on it, and the paint stuck to the bottom of the pot. Luckily, we had insurance, so we weren’t worried about being charged for damage.
Other than that, everything else was great — we’d recommend it with just a heads-up about the countertop!

Fantastic location close to tube station, restaurants, museums and shops. Well appointed, spacious home with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
What could be improved: More attention to detail needed in bathroom cleaning.

"Good"
The location is great and the flat is large.
What could be improved: I saw a mouse near the entrance door and was afraid to open windows since as I thought they could come in. Also, the area around the living room windows was dirty.
