Lincoln Plaza Hotel London, Curio Collection By Hilton
First Impressions
The Lincoln Plaza Hotel London, Curio Collection By Hilton sits right in the heart of Canary Wharf’s newer developments, and honestly, it’s one of those places that catches you off guard. I mean, London’s financial district isn’t exactly where you’d expect to find a boutique-style hotel that actually feels welcoming, but here we are. The building itself has this sleek, modern vibe that fits perfectly with all the glass towers around it, though it manages to feel less corporate than you’d think.
Location & Getting Around
You know what’s actually brilliant about staying here? You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from South Quay DLR station, which gets you to central London faster than most people realize. The whole Canary Wharf area has transformed over the past few years — there are decent restaurants now, proper shops, and even some green spaces along the Thames. Plus, if you’re traveling for business, well, you’re basically in the middle of everything that matters financially in the city.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was one of their standard doubles, and it felt surprisingly spacious for London standards. The design leans contemporary without being cold — lots of warm wood tones mixed with modern fixtures that actually work properly. The bathroom was compact but well-thought-out, with one of those rainfall showers that doesn’t disappoint. What I really appreciated was the blackout curtains; they’re serious about helping you sleep, which matters when you’re dealing with jet lag or early morning meetings.
Dining & Amenities
The hotel’s restaurant serves up a solid mix of British and international dishes — nothing groundbreaking, but definitely better than your typical hotel fare. Their breakfast spread is worth mentioning too; it’s got all the usual suspects plus some local touches that show they’re paying attention to details. There’s also a fitness center that’s actually usable (not just a couple of sad treadmills in a basement), and the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing when you need recommendations or help with anything.
Why Guests Love It
This four-star property really nails that sweet spot between professional efficiency and personal service. The whole Curio Collection thing means it’s got Hilton’s reliability behind it, but with enough personality to feel distinctive. I’d say it works particularly well if you’re mixing business with some leisure time — you can handle your meetings in Canary Wharf during the day, then hop on the DLR to explore Borough Market or catch a show in the West End. The hotel provides that solid home base where everything just works, your wifi is fast, and you can actually get a good night’s sleep before doing it all again tomorrow.
