Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Leather Lane Concept Apartments on a busy Camden street, you’d honestly never guess what’s waiting inside. The entrance is tucked between shops and cafés, which I actually love — it feels like you’re discovering something local rather than checking into another generic hotel. The building itself has that converted Victorian warehouse vibe that Camden does so well, and once you’re inside, the modern touches really shine.
Location & Camden Life
Here’s what I mean about location — you’re literally on Leather Lane, which turns into this fantastic street market during weekdays. I’m talking proper London market stalls selling everything from vintage clothes to incredible sandwich shops. Camden gets all the tourist attention for its weekend markets, but honestly, being right here puts you in the middle of where locals actually go. Hatton Garden (jewelry quarter) is a two-minute walk, and you can reach Covent Garden or King’s Cross in about ten minutes on foot.
The Apartment Experience
What makes this four-star place special is that you’re getting a proper apartment, not just a hotel room. Each unit has a full kitchen with everything you’d actually need — decent-sized fridge, proper cooktop, even a dishwasher. The living spaces feel genuinely liveable rather than hotel-sterile, with comfortable sofas and dining tables where you can spread out. The bedrooms are well-designed too, with good storage and blackout curtains that actually work (trust me, this matters when you’re dealing with London’s early summer sunrises).
Practical Details That Matter
The building doesn’t have its own parking — but honestly, that’s Camden for you, and the transport links are so good you won’t need a car anyway. What they do have is excellent WiFi throughout, proper air conditioning (surprisingly rare in London), and a 24-hour reception that’s genuinely helpful. The housekeeping team keeps everything spotless, and they’ll do a mid-stay clean if you’re there for more than a few nights.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really works about this place? It strikes that perfect balance between hotel service and apartment independence. You can grab coffee and pastries from the market downstairs for breakfast, or walk two minutes to that excellent Lebanese restaurant on Greville Street. The staff clearly know the neighborhood — they’ll point you toward the good pubs (The Cittie of Yorke is a proper Victorian gem) and away from the tourist traps. For the price point in central London, getting this much space and such a genuine local experience is actually pretty remarkable.
Guest reviews
"Good crash pad on Leather Lane."
The rooms appear to have been newly renovated. There is a small kitchen with some basics. There seem to be some laundry facilities in the building, but I did not try to use them.
What could be improved: Maybe having more than 2 of each type of cutlery.

"Lovely apartment but too hot"
Very clean, fresh , well decorated, excellent facilities
What could be improved: Way too hot so uncomfortable to sleep. I couldn’t see any air conditioning and if there was any there were no instructions for use

"Close to Farringdon"
Great location at walking distance from Farringdon station. Flat seems to have been recently refurbished with good standard equipment. Check in and out was seamless
What could be improved: Shower towels were a bit small, if I really have to find a negative

"Perfect Central London Studio Apartment"
Perfect location – right in the heart of London and super easy to get anywhere in the city. The studio feels brand new, with a sleek en-suite and a practical little kitchenette. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, and there’s 24/7 phone support if you need it. Great spot – I’d definitely book again next time I’m in London.
What could be improved: Honestly, nothing negative to say. Just a heads-up that there’s no lift, but with only three floors it’s not really an issue.

Cleanliness
What could be improved: I would hope for some better matress quality and also bed size was small for a couple.

"Exceptional"
Great location. This is a self-service short-let apartment (no check-in desk).
Very clean, very good location.
What could be improved: No lift and there is a stair walk up
There is a food market on the street between 11-3 Monday - Friday. For me this was exciting but there is a bit of street noise you need to be aware of.

"Excellent location, clean and pretty nice"
It's in an excellent location, super central and on a commercial street quite literally above a coffee shop. With no through road for cars on one end, there is no traffic and bar some parking it feels almost completely pedestrianised, so it's lovely and quiet. The place is super well connected, just a short walk to Farringdon station, which is on the Liz line, the Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, and Circle lines too, and also a short walk in the other direction to Chancery Lane, on the central line.
The place was clean, comfy enough bed and the bathroom was nice and new (albeit basic and tiny), the shower was lovely.
TV was small, terrible and the remote didn't work, nice to have if it does for other guests though. The kitchenette was fine, clean also, and nice touch that they provide some coffee pods etc, but that is extent of use it got from us so can't comment on anything else. They do provide some basic bits like a hairdryer and iron in the cupboard, again a nice touch.
What could be improved: The exact address is not provided, we never received any communication, neither by email nor by messaging through booking.com and the host never confirmed the check-in time request either. However, we got through by phone whilst nearby (to a call centre servicing all of this companies different units scattered around the place), and after some back and forth got it sorted, got the address and the door codes sent by email and after that it was easy to get in and everything was as expected.
Not the fault of the building but there was construction going on next door, out the back of the building, which started super early in the morning every day, including Saturday, and was incredibly loud, annoying and persisted for our entire stay.
Remote for the tv didn't work, it might have just needed batteries, naturally not something we had handy and as the building isn't staffed or serviced so there was no way to solve it quickly, and because the TV is a super shit TCL one, controlling it via the single button underneath it is an absolutely nuisance with no smart functions possible without the remote.
I would note that, although this wasn't an issue for us, the place is at the very top of the building, up at least four floors of stairs and no lift, so just fyi for others.

"Excellent Value Apartments in Good Location"
Recently refurbished good value flats. Important to note they don’t have a lift or aircon or a reception. So definitely not a hotel. But great value and location.
What could be improved: I really enjoyed my stay, everything was great

"Très agréable séjour, nous reviendrons!"
L'emplacement, le calme sur cour, la chaleur en hiver, la décoration et le confort du lit
What could be improved: Monter les 3 étages à pied! Et un manque de place dans la salle d'eau pour poser ses affaires de toilette. Il manquerait également 2 patères pour les serviettes.
