Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Jasmine Suite by Yielding Bricks in Dulwich, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a four-star property tucked away in this leafy corner of South London. The building itself — Atwood House — has that solid Victorian charm you find all over this area, but stepping inside the suite, I was genuinely impressed by how they’ve managed to create something that feels both contemporary and cozy.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, Dulwich is one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss — which is actually part of its charm. You’re surrounded by tree-lined streets, independent cafes, and those gorgeous Victorian houses that make South London so appealing. The Dulwich Picture Gallery is just a short walk away, and if you’re into green spaces, Dulwich Park is perfect for morning jogs or lazy afternoon strolls. Getting into central London takes about 25 minutes by train, which isn’t bad at all.
The Space
The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed flat than a typical hotel room. The kitchen is actually functional — not just for show — with everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local shops and cook something simple. I mean, after a few days of eating out, sometimes you just want to make your own coffee the way you like it, you know? The living area has this nice balance of being stylish without feeling like you can’t touch anything.
Comfort & Amenities
What struck me most was how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. The bed is properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and they’ve got those blackout curtains that actually work — something you don’t always find in London properties. The bathroom’s modern and spacious, with a shower that has decent water pressure. There’s secure parking available too, which if you’re driving in London, you’ll appreciate more than you can imagine.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s the kind of place that gets the details right without making a big fuss about it. You’ve got the space and independence of having your own place, but with the reliability and service you expect from a quality hotel. Plus, staying in Dulwich gives you a glimpse of what residential London actually feels like — something you miss entirely if you stick to the touristy areas around Westminster or Covent Garden.

"If you have 2 or 3 big persons, pls find a bigger place , otherwise this is an efficiently equipped apartment for a smal"
Neat and squeaky clean apartment in a residential neighbourhood. I could see it’s rather new , with kitchen hob and cupboards which look hardly used. There is even a Bosch coffee machine ( though not as user friendly as a Nespresso ) which I come to appreciate after staying a few apartments in the UK during this trip .
Fully equipped kitchen , but there is no dining table . There is only a small speak and 1 chair. Perhaps that is why previous people don’t cook.
Everything is clean and new .that’s a plus point.
What could be improved: If you’re to visit central London, it’s quite a distance away. Driving to central London from south of the Thames is crazy due to traffic.
Better off taking the train to Victoria. Google map is accurate in directing you to the nearest train station about 4 min walk away.
Next the beds are too soft, could not support the weight of adults , both sides could slope down if you sleep a bit closer to the edge. I’m not a very big person( 63 kg 1.62m tall) , I almost fell off the bed a few times and I figured out that 7or 8 inches from the edge is the safety zone. You need to sleep very close to your partner to prevent falling off .

"Clean, modern, comfortable."
The property was clean and modern. It’s practically right next to the train station and walking distance from Dulwich College. I would be happy staying here again.
What could be improved: It’s about 30 mins walk to restaurants. This was fine for us as we only needed to do this one night, but could be annoying for those staying for longer.

"Enjoyable & worth it!"
It was exceptionally clean, had everything you could possibly need for a short stay, nice decor and easy check in & check out, just overall very well thought out. The most enjoyable stay I’ve ever had at any accommodation. I will definitely be back!
What could be improved: There’s nothing I didn’t like but a mirror in the bedroom would be helpful for when you’re getting ready.
