Holiday Lets London – I2
First Impressions
Holiday Lets London – I2 sits on a quiet residential street in Hammersmith, and honestly, that’s exactly what I was hoping for when I booked it. The building itself is classic London — Victorian brick that’s been well-maintained without losing its character. You’re getting a proper flat here, not some cramped hotel room, which makes all the difference when you’re staying for more than just a weekend.
The Space
Walking into this four-star apartment, I was struck by how much natural light floods the main living area — something you definitely can’t take for granted in London. The kitchen is actually functional (I mean, you can cook a proper meal here), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. The décor is modern but not sterile — think clean lines with some personality thrown in.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about Iffley Road — you’re in London proper, but it doesn’t feel like you’re in the tourist crush of Central London. Hammersmith tube station is about a 10-minute walk, which puts you on the Piccadilly line straight to Covent Garden or the District line to Westminster. There’s a Sainsbury’s practically around the corner, and honestly, having that grocery run option when you’ve got a proper kitchen changes everything about how you experience the city.
The Neighborhood Feel
What struck me most was how this area feels like actual London life, not the London you see in movies. You’ve got local pubs where people actually live nearby (not just tourists), and the Thames path is close enough for morning runs if that’s your thing. The Bishop’s Park is right there too — perfect for those moments when you need to escape the city buzz without actually leaving the city. You know what I mean?
Why Guests Love It
Look, with an 8.4 rating, this place clearly works for people, and I get why. It’s that sweet spot where you’re getting the independence of your own space but with the reliability of a managed property. No one’s going to bother you at 7 AM asking if you need fresh towels, but if something goes wrong, there’s actually someone to call. The parking situation is London-typical (meaning challenging), but that’s what the tube is for, right?
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
