You know what’s great about this spot? You’re in Greenwich but away from the cruise ship crowds that swarm the main attractions during peak season. The train station is a solid 10-minute walk, which means you can be in central London in about 20 minutes when you want the big city buzz. But honestly, I found myself hanging around the area more than I expected — there’s a proper local pub just around the corner, and the morning coffee scene on nearby Trafalgar Road is surprisingly good.
The Room Experience
My room was compact but thoughtfully arranged, with that kind of efficient British space planning that somehow makes everything work. The bed was actually comfortable (not always a given at this price point), and the ensuite bathroom had decent water pressure — small victories that matter when you’re traveling. What struck me most was how quiet it was at night, despite being in London. The double glazing really does its job here.
Practical Bits
There’s no on-site restaurant, but the kitchenette setup in each unit means you can grab groceries from the Sainsbury’s down the road and sort yourself out. I mean, breakfast spots are everywhere in Greenwich anyway, so this didn’t feel like a loss. The staff keeps things simple but helpful — they’ll point you toward the good local places rather than just handing you a generic tourist map.

This place works because it gives you a proper London neighborhood experience without the premium prices of central hotels. You’re staying where actual Londoners live, with easy access to both Greenwich’s historic sites and the Thames path for those morning walks. "Superb"
It was very nice. The room was spacious and clean, and so was the bathroom. The neighbourhood was quiet and we felt safe even at night. Travelling around was easy, there are multiple bus stops close to the hotel, which are good options if you are planning to go to the O2 Arena for a concert for example.

"Great Vlaue for money and wonderful host"
The host is wonderful and the facilities were excellent. The location is central and easily accessible to shopping malls and eateries.
What could be improved: Frequency of cleaning of the rooms and toilet should be made 2-3 days apart rather than a week

"Comfortable stay"
although it's a bit far out, it has still very good and frequent connections, they provide free tea and coffee, very clean facilities
What could be improved: paper-thin walls (you can hear a needle drop, literally), be aware of the extra fee of 30 pounds for late check-in (at least it's a given option till 3am)

"Recommend"
Recommended. Nice, clean, quiet, comfortable room. Check in was easy and our host, Damal, made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Everything we needed and more was provided. There is also a well appointed kitchen made available for use (complete with clothes washer).
There are a few restuarants within .5 miles and several large grocery stores one mile away. It is a 45 minute walk to downtown Greenwich (2 miles) or you can simply catch a bus at any of the nearby bus stops. Downtown London is an easy train ride from the Woolwich Dockside station - a mere 15 minute walk away.
We enjoyed our stay.

"Superb"
It's located in a very quiet neighborhood, the room was spacious enough and clean, there is a mini-fridge in the room to keep some drinks/food cold, a kettle to make yourself a tea/coffee (we had some complimentary tea bags and instant coffee in the room). The downstairs kitchen has all you need to make yourself breakfast or even cook a lunch/dinner.
Location wise from public transport it's about 10min walking distance to the bus stop that connects you to all major TfL lines at Woolwich, North Greenwich/O2 Arena, etc.
The hosts were lovely and explained the house rules in detail.
What could be improved: Once the backyard gets some work done, it will complete the stay - you could enjoy an outdoor early morning breakfast before you set off or a relaxing drink in the evening when you get back. In its current state it wasn't really usable (you had to bring some indoor chairs if you wanted to seat down) - there was a garden table and some seats but were all dusty, covered with bird poop and full of spider webs, ground was uneven.

"A lovely comfortable, clean and welcoming place to stay - everything we expected and more!"
We received a lovely welcome from the host Gamal. He sent a message prior to arrival so we had a point of contact and was friendly, helpful and happy to answer any questions during our stay. The rooms were clean, well equipped and much larger than we expected, along with a large communal kitchen/lounge area and small garden for guests use.
What could be improved: The Harlinger Lodge Annexe is set within a residential area, and a bit further out than we had anticipated - but not a problem! It’s within walking distance of the train station (we walked over from Woolwich dockyard station with our cases, no problem), the bus stop is a 5 minute walk away (regular buses to O2 and Greenwich village cost £1.75atm) or Uber taxis are a reasonable cost too.

"Brilliant location"
The location was brilliant and in walking distance to jump on the train in and out of the city. Cannot fault Gamal, what a splendid host - met us and prioritised our room as we ended up in the area earlier than check in
What could be improved: Unfortunately, no fault of the host, the walls are extremely thin and we were awoken throughout the night on our first stay by the gent next door who didn't sound like he made any effort to muffle his sneezes!! Followed by 2 further early morning awakenings as whoever was above us sounded like they stomped their morning routine - we didn't get much sleep at all throughout our stay
