Overview
First Impressions
GuestReady – The Fitzroy Hotel sits right in the heart of Camden, and honestly, the location hits that sweet spot between being central and actually livable. This four-star property has that classic London hotel vibe without feeling stuffy — you know what I mean? The building itself has character, and when you walk in, there’s this sense that you’re staying somewhere with a bit of history rather than another cookie-cutter chain hotel.
The Neighborhood Feel
Being in Camden means you’re genuinely in the thick of things, but it’s not the touristy chaos of Covent Garden or Leicester Square. You’ve got proper London streets around you — the kind where locals actually live and work. The Tube connections are solid (you’re close to multiple lines), and I found myself walking to places like King’s Cross and even parts of the West End because, well, everything feels reachable from here.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was thoughtfully put together — not massive, but this is London, so you adjust your expectations accordingly. What impressed me was how they’d managed the space efficiently without it feeling cramped. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and there were enough plugs and surfaces for all your stuff, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many hotels get this wrong. The bathroom was compact but modern, with decent water pressure that actually stayed consistent.
Daily Rhythms
Mornings here feel properly London-ish — you can grab coffee from several good spots within a two-minute walk, or there’s a decent breakfast setup if you prefer staying in. The staff seem to know what they’re doing without being overly formal about it. I appreciated that they were helpful when I needed directions but didn’t hover or try to upsell constantly. There’s also parking available, which in central London is honestly a bit of a miracle if you’re driving.
Why Guests Love It
Look, with an 8.2 rating, this place clearly works for people, and I get why. It’s that balance of being well-located without the premium you’d pay for staying directly in Fitzrovia or Marylebone proper. The hotel delivers what it promises — a solid base for exploring London without any nasty surprises. You’re not getting bells and whistles, but you’re getting reliability and a genuine sense of place, which honestly matters more when you’re trying to experience a city rather than just pass through it.

"Very good"
The room was newly renovated, clean, and stylish.
What could be improved: The key lockbox is inside the building, and the instructions to get the key are confusing. We were trying to figure out where the key lock box was for a long time until the cleaner came to help us.

"Great place to stay for a few days while you see the sites of London."
Location to the underground rail and the closeness of coffee shops, places and pubs for dinner. Bed was comfortable. Great communication with checking in and out. Big TV to watch from bed after a long day of site seeing. Was lovely and clean.
What could be improved: Needed hooks for towels , a larger shelf for toiletries and a shelf in the shower.
The light switches were a bit confusing at the start and a possible instruction sheet may explain them better

"All is well. perfect location."
location is superb. nice deco. friendly and helpful staff.
What could be improved: would be good to have more advance notice on how to handle the automatic curtain in the room. Something that it is noticeable once you enter the room on how to manage that would be even better.

"A beautifully designed, remarkably quiet base by Fitzroy Square that I would gladly book again."
Stepping one block from Warren Street into Fitzroy Square Garden felt like old London, quiet and elegant, with locals walking dogs. Access was foolproof, thanks to clear pass codes, and the key system worked perfectly on the first try. The curtain and lighting welcome was a nice touch of theatre. The room was compact yet well-designed, with everything functioning perfectly and excellent water pressure, allowing for quick transport into the centre.
What could be improved: The touch-sensitive controls for lights and curtains were somewhat finicky and not very intuitive (maybe that's more about me). The main road by the station feels a touch rough around the edges before you reach the calm of Fitzrovia.

"Newly renovated, small rooms in great location for a london trip!"
small rooms, but lovely aesthetics. newly renovated, snacks, water and tea provided. spacious shower and bathroom.
felt safe, with passcode for the downstairs door and lock at the apartment door. very nice location within london, lots of cute cafes, bars and restaurants around, easy access to several underground lines and easily walkable to Soho and the Regents Park.
What could be improved: The windows do not effectively block noise, which was a bit annyoing in the morning, but luckly the neighborhood gets quiet at night though.

"Very good"
Great location, comfortable room. Query (see below) was answered very quickly on whatsapp.
What could be improved: Steep learning curve on a first stay: The hi-tech entry instructions could have been made clearer. It wasn't until a few days before our stay that I learned we would get the room key at the hotel itself rather than a different Keynest location. It took a while to learn how to turn on / off the lights, aircon, open shut skylight blinds. The whatsapp message appearing on the morning after we arrived enabled us to get the help we needed.

Beautiful and clean room. Very well decorated with fine design style
What could be improved: Without elevator, and hard to open the room door

"Very well appointed and good value room"
A basement room in a great location with a skylight. The property was clean, modern and well appointed. Great toiletries and some essentials for tea and coffee in the kitchenette. It was well thought through. En suite was well appointed with a good shower. Very handy place near tube stops and within walking distance of Euston with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and just off the very lovely Fitzroy Square. Arrangements with the keys were made very clear - communication was excellent
What could be improved: The shower drainage wasn’t very fast, the safe didn’t work properly - but they were very responsive to our questions and assured us these things would be looked at.
