Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Grenville on Stanmore Road, you immediately notice this isn’t your typical four-star hotel. The Victorian facade has been lovingly restored, and there’s something refreshingly understated about the whole place. You know what struck me most? The fact that they’ve managed to keep the original character while clearly investing in modern comforts — it’s not trying to be something it’s not.
The Tottenham Experience
Here’s the thing about staying in London’s N15 — you’re getting an authentic slice of the city that most tourists never see. Tottenham gets a bad rap sometimes, but honestly, the area around the hotel has this brilliant local energy. There’s a proper Turkish bakery two minutes away that does incredible börek, and the transport links are actually fantastic once you figure them out. Seven Sisters tube station is close enough that you can be in central London in about twenty minutes.
Your Room
The room I stayed in was on the second floor — spotless, well-thought-out, and surprisingly quiet considering you’re on a main road. The bed was properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and they’ve clearly invested in good linens. What I appreciated most was the little sitting area by the window — perfect for morning coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up. The bathroom was compact but modern, with one of those rainfall showers that actually works.
Practical Bits
The staff here genuinely know their stuff about getting around London, which saved me tons of time. There’s secure parking if you’re driving, though I’d honestly recommend taking the train instead — traffic in this part of London can be brutal. They don’t have a full restaurant, but the breakfast spread is solid, and you’re spoiled for choice with local eateries. I mean, there’s everything from Caribbean joints to Vietnamese pho within walking distance.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Grenville isn’t flashy, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get excellent value without the tourist markup of central London hotels, plus you’re experiencing a side of the city that feels real. The 9.2 rating makes perfect sense when you consider the attention to detail — everything just works properly. It’s the kind of place where you can actually relax after a day of sightseeing, rather than feeling like you’re still performing the tourist role even in your hotel.

"Great stay in a big house!"
Jubed was very kind and helpful before and during our stay, and easy to communicate with. The house was perfect for what we needed, and it was easy to access trains and buses to get around. Several fans were provided and that helped with temperature in the house.
We had no issues with this, but know that others may not enjoy it, so as a FYI, Jubed did some work outside the house and charged their car in the driveway once during our stay.
What could be improved: We were only given about 7 rolls of toiler paper for our 5 day stay with 11 people in the house, so we did have to purchase more. The water also goes in and out if multiple people are showering at once, but we worked with it. These are just nice to know ahead of time, but did not disturb our stay.

"Lots of space and comfort"
A large house, good size, simply decorated white bedrooms, nicely furnished and equipped house. Great, new looking kitchen, you could easily do self-catering, although we didn't. Everything was very clean and the showers worked well with plenty of hot water. Small garden to sit out in, nice place for breakfast on a warm day. It was quiet at night and the house was cool in the hot weather. Good value for money for London. Plenty of well reviewed restaurants nearby. Try Gurmani, an excellent Georgian restaurant a few minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend if you want space to spread out but still be in London. Also owner was friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: Not much, hand towels would be helpful but that's a minor problem.

Its a perfect place to stay for a group of 12 people. It’s very comfortable like being at home, very clean and gives the sweetest memories. Jubed was a great host , he is a very helpful and friendly person, he also does not hesitate to give tips and guides to nearby restaurants. Highly recommended this accommodation to families and also larger group. Would love to come back in the future…
