Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Green Garden in Northwest London, I’ll be honest — it’s not what you’d expect from most London hotels. Tucked away on a quiet residential street in Pinner, this four-star property feels more like discovering a well-kept secret than checking into your typical city accommodation. The Victorian building has this charming, almost homey facade that immediately tells you you’re somewhere different.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Pinner — you’re actually getting the best of both worlds. The Pinner tube station is just a short walk away, and honestly, the Metropolitan line gets you into central London faster than you’d think (about 40 minutes to Baker Street). But what I really loved was having proper neighborhood life right outside the door. There are actual local pubs, a proper high street with independent shops, and you know what? People aren’t rushing around like they’re late for something important every five minutes.
The Room Experience
My room was surprisingly spacious by London standards — I mean, you can actually open your suitcase without having to climb over it to reach the bathroom. The decor strikes this nice balance between modern comfort and keeping some of that period character intact. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the wifi actually worked properly throughout the space, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings.
Practical Details
The restaurant downstairs serves decent food — nothing groundbreaking, but solid British fare that hits the spot after a day of sightseeing. What really impressed me was the breakfast service; they actually cook your eggs to order rather than keeping them under heat lamps for hours. Parking is available on-site, which is honestly a huge relief if you’re driving in London. Trust me, trying to find street parking in this city will age you prematurely.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t a flashy hotel with a rooftop bar or a spa — it’s something better for certain travelers. It’s that rare London accommodation where you feel like you’re staying in an actual neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience (they remembered my name after the first day), and the whole place has this relaxed atmosphere that’s hard to find in central London properties. If you want to experience London like someone who actually lives here rather than just visiting the major attractions, Green Garden in Northwest London gives you that authentic feel without sacrificing proper comfort.

"Very pleasant stay"
Full equipped, renovated and comfort house 30’ out of central London. The house looked exactly as the photos. The host answered to all our messages at the same time we’ve sent them.

"Very clean, newly refurbished, no drive should be cheaper."
The house were clean and newly refurbished.
What could be improved: All was good the property from inside was very nice the hosts were very easy to reach and very good, 2 things was there was no drive to park the car and it’s very hard to find a space in the evening, if I am not wrong on the advert we’re saying you can park on the drive but there is no drive at all, the other thing is the road didn’t seem very safe though there was nothing happened and my family were safe.
I think it should be much cheaper for the location I would rather to pay the amount I’ve paid for a hood 5 starts hotel in the area for myself but my parents preferred a house.
The check out time was at 10:00am I was there to pick up my family at 10:03 due to running late in traffic and I find the cleaner with her boss on the phone trying to push my parents out of the property though they are disabled elderly and doesn’t speak English, so I would have appreciated if they did call me direct to my number as they do have it and did communicate with them.
The other thing I have asked them kindly if it’s possible to do an early check in 2 hours or even an hour before the check in time, as we will be coming they driving to London from north.

"Was fine for a few days and host dod a good job of communications and the house was clean."
Good size. Clean. Had all the big things you need for a family
What could be improved: Whilst it had all the major things (washer, dryer, dishwasher) it lacked kitchen utensils and had very few pots and pans. Could do with more. Area wasn’t nice and car parking was not straightforward.

"The stay was not worth the money, and would not choose to stay at the property again."
Layout and kitchen was good including the oven.
What could be improved: I recently stayed at this property and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The main gate was only half the width of the opening, making it inconvenient to use. Both the front and back gardens were poorly maintained, which was quite disappointing.
Inside the house, the shower door was not fitted well and the grip fitting was missing, making it difficult to use. The washing machine was not clean and had fungus behind the door frame, which was quite unhygienic. Additionally, there were fewer kitchen utensils provided than expected, making it challenging to prepare meals.
The furniture provided was cheap and from IKEA, which did not add to the comfort of the stay. There were not enough seating possibilities in the lounge, making it difficult to relax. The water pressure was consistently low, which was frustrating.
Parking was always a problem, and the garden door curtain was too long, with about a foot of it dragging on the floor. The towels provided were black in color, which was very awkward, and they were too small and thin to be of any use.
Overall, my stay at this property was disappointing due to the numerous issues mentioned above. I hope the management takes these points into consideration and makes the necessary improvements.
