Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Gower Street Residences on a typical London morning, you’d almost miss it if you weren’t looking — and that’s actually part of its charm. This three-star property sits quietly on North Gower Street in Camden, tucked away from the tourist chaos but honestly just minutes from everything you’d want to see. The building itself has that classic Georgian London look, nothing flashy, but it feels authentic in a way that screams “real London living” rather than hotel chain sterile.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re in Camden, which means you get the best of both worlds. Warren Street tube station is literally a three-minute walk away, so getting to Oxford Street or King’s Cross takes no time at all. But you know what’s even better? You can walk to the British Museum in about ten minutes, and Russell Square is right there when you need some green space. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where actual Londoners go about their day, not just endless souvenir shops.
The Accommodation
The apartment setup here is what sets this place apart from your typical hotel experience. Each unit comes with a proper kitchen, which honestly saves you a fortune when London restaurant prices start adding up. The room I stayed in was compact — this is London, after all — but cleverly designed with enough space to actually live rather than just crash. The furnishings are modern without trying too hard, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for what you’re paying.
Practical Details
Let me be real about what you’re getting here. There’s no fancy restaurant downstairs or elaborate room service menu, but that kitchen means you can grab fresh ingredients from the local markets and actually cook something decent. The WiFi works well (important for those work calls back home), and the building stays pretty quiet even though you’re in central London. Parking isn’t really a thing here — you’re in Camden, so tube and walking are your best friends anyway.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back is the independence this place offers. You’re not locked into hotel breakfast times or struggling with tiny hotel fridges — you can actually settle in and live like a local for a few days. The 7.7 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re paying versus what you get in this part of London. It’s not going to wow you with marble bathrooms or concierge services, but for travelers who want a proper base in an excellent location without the tourist hotel markup, it delivers exactly what it promises.

"Very good"
The location is very good. There are everything you need for your stay. Check-in details were full and easy to understand.
What could be improved: The wi-fi connection was poor or missing. It was a little bit noisy, because of trains.

"Gower St."
The apartment was clean.
What could be improved: The fact that it didn't mention the apartment was on the 4th floor with NO elevator!

"Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others."
The property was spotlessly clean and although pretty basic we found it comfortable enough. The location is great with easy access to tube and buses.
What could be improved: The communal areas were a bit grubby and didn’t give a good first impression. There are no sockets in the bedroom and no mirror in the sitting room so hair drying was a bit tricky. I suggest you supply a longer extension lead or put up a mirror in the sitting room.

"We really enjoyed our 3 nights. Location and price are biggest plus points"
Great location
Nespresso machine including cups
Nice tv
Kitchen included
Friendly staff
What could be improved: Noisy: you can hear the neighbor walking on upper floor. Also the rumble of the metro can be annoying.
Sleeping couch not very comfortable

"Wonderful stay at this rate in London"
The property was on the 3rd floor, it‘s lovely, design modern and so comfortable.
Very good wifi. Big flat TV.
Mattress was medium, not too soft and firm which fit me best.
Cutleries, utensils, glasswares and oven were spotless and everywhere was so clean and tidy.
Location is great where only few minutes walk to Euston Train Station.
Staffs contacted me right after I made a booking and provided me the address and door codes on the day of my arrival.
What could be improved: The property has very thin ceilings and walls, I heard whenever the person living upstair came back from work, used the washing machine, walked around the living room and bedroom, and got up to work repeatly.
All windows were locked, I guess because of the noise from underground and safety issues. It could be better if windows can be slightly opened after cooking to avoid smelling.
Ventilation not working properly at non-window bathroom, peeling paint casued by moisture but it‘s not a big deal.

Location was perfect. Walking distance from the train station and the underground. Perfect for a 24 hour visit to London.

"Good location"
Location was good and nice to have privacy
What could be improved: The heating was bearly warm and the water in the shower was only lukewarm and although the boiler was restarted when asked it didn’t get much hotter at all. The apartment also needs hand towels in the bathroom and a small welcome of teabags, coffee and sugar especially for those very short stays.
