Overview
First Impressions
Fulham Rooms sits right on Fulham Road, and honestly, you know exactly what you’re getting from the moment you walk up. It’s a straightforward three-star spot that doesn’t try to be anything fancy — just clean, comfortable accommodation in one of London’s more residential areas. The building itself has that classic London townhouse feel, though it’s been converted into guest rooms rather than maintaining any original grandeur.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I really liked about staying here — you’re properly in a London neighborhood, not some touristy bubble. Fulham Road stretches for miles, and this section puts you within walking distance of both Earl’s Court and Fulham Broadway stations. The 14 bus runs right outside, which I actually found more useful than the tube sometimes since it goes straight through South Kensington and up to Piccadilly Circus. You’ve got proper supermarkets nearby, not just corner shops charging tourist prices.
The Accommodation
My room was smaller than I expected — well, this is London after all — but it had everything I needed for a few nights. The bed was comfortable enough, and there’s a decent-sized window that actually opens (you’d be surprised how many places seal you in). The heating worked well, which matters more than you think during those damp London months. Storage space is limited, but if you’re just using it as a base for exploring the city, it does the job perfectly fine.
Practical Considerations
The WiFi was reliable throughout my stay, and I mean actually reliable — not that patchy connection you sometimes get in budget places. Housekeeping comes through daily, and they’re thorough without being intrusive. There’s no restaurant on-site, but honestly, that didn’t bother me much given all the options along Fulham Road. You’ve got everything from proper pubs serving decent food to that excellent Lebanese place about five minutes’ walk toward Earl’s Court.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
Look, Fulham Rooms won’t win any design awards, and you’re not getting a concierge service or fancy amenities. But what you do get is solid value in a genuinely liveable part of London. I met other guests who were return visitors — one woman told me she’d stayed here four times because it just works for her needs. The staff are helpful without being overly formal, and there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on the basics rather than trying to oversell itself. If you want to experience London like a temporary resident rather than a tourist, this area gives you that authentic neighborhood feel while keeping you well-connected to everything else.

"Very pleasant stay"
Great location. Room very nice and spotlessly clean
Also like to mention the gentleman who assisted me with directions. and codes over the phone for entry was very helpful. Great location ie.Near Fulham Broadway tube station.
What could be improved: Nothing springs to mind

"Very convenient and good value place to stay for a work trip."
The room was nice and cosy and had all amenities needed. It was nice and clean and the chocolates were a lovely welcoming touch.
What could be improved: The walls were quite thin (I could hear very easily the tv next door but thankfully they turned it off at a reasonable time) I recommend taking ear plugs just incase.

"Lovely apartment in prime location (near Chelse Stadium)"
The kitchen is pretty solid and well equipped - I was able to cook a lot there after buying groceries at Waitrose across the street. There were two beds that were comfortable, decent TV, good shower.
What could be improved: The blinds are a bit hard to manage - so bring a sleep mask! It’s a little bit on the noisy side - which didn’t bother me that much though.

"Comfortable and clean"
Spacious, clean, easy access, Wi-Fi good
What could be improved: No smoke detectors in rooms. Should be connected to a fire alarm.
A little noise on the main road near fire station

"Great location and comfort"
The instructions given were precise and the check-in went smoothly.
The room was great for two people, very comfy, but a bit crammed for three.
The bathroom was very clean. All in all, it was a good experience and I recommend it :).
What could be improved: The coffee maker was a bit dirty, but I understand that it may not be the first thing you think of cleaning when preparing the room for the next guest.

"Warm in summer, small but worth the experience and good location👍🏼"
Good connection via tube & bus into London
What could be improved: Gets very stuffy in summer. And you really have to get along with your roommate…
It is smaller than it looks on the pictures.

"Great location. If self catering this is an ideal place, although numerous eateries and pubs nearby."
Extremely convenient for my appointments in Fulham and Chelsea design district. Could have used as a base If staying more than one night due to all catering and washing facilities in the room.
What could be improved: Large wall hung TV took some avoiding in entry and was too technical for me to find basic BBC, ITV.

"Good location & value"
Great value stay for a room/ own ensuite bathroom in a really good location right in the middle of Fulham between two tube stations Parsons Green and Fulham Rd - 7 mins walk away - lots of bars / restaurants etc etc
What could be improved: It’s a self checkin (using code) up the stairs to my room (2) within a house - the room had its own code lock on the bedroom door - - I’d have liked to be able to lock the bed room from the inside which I could not.

"Super place but hot and hate the windows"
I liked the room, the bathroom, the bed, the access, the location and communication. I was in the standard double room and the boiler was in the cupboard which did not bother me which I was pleased about. Note the standard double does not overlook the main road either so that was also good.
What could be improved: You need a Mensa degree to get the blind down. A lot of people think they are broken - no, you need to be very experienced with very rubbish blinds to get it down.
The room is industrially hot and has old sash windows.
You HAVE TO sleep with the window open even in April.
The net result is the ancient sash window and blind rattle against each other all night.
With the outside noise, I personally found this a problem.
Shame as I loved the room itself. If you sleep well, you will be fine.

"Good"
The host was very nice, always available
The accommodation was very clean and comfy
What could be improved: But this is not a place for you if you don't have a problem with the noise, it's a good option, but if you have a problem with the constant noise that comes from the neighbours because the walls are extremely thin, from the gas central(because it's in this room) and from outside because the window is an old type which is not isolated.
