For Students Only Spring Mews in London might sound exclusive, but honestly, it’s got this welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. Located on a quiet street in Lambeth, this apartment-style accommodation has that modern student housing feel — but way more polished than what I remember from my university days. The lobby’s clean and bright, with staff who actually seem happy to help rather than just going through the motions.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s great about Lambeth? It’s proper London without the tourist chaos. From here, you can walk to Waterloo Station in about 10 minutes, which means you’re connected to pretty much everywhere. The Imperial War Museum is practically around the corner — I stumbled across it on my second morning and ended up spending half the day there. Plus, you’ve got the Thames just a short stroll away, and crossing over to the South Bank never gets old.
The Space
The apartments here are surprisingly spacious for London standards. Each unit comes with its own kitchen, which is actually functional — not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes that can barely handle making tea. I mean, you can properly cook here if you want to save some money on London’s restaurant prices. The room itself is modern and comfortable, with decent storage space and a workspace that’s actually usable. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters when you’re trying to stay connected.
The Experience
This four-star place really shines in the details. The building’s quiet — you won’t have rowdy students keeping you up (despite the name, it welcomes all guests). There’s parking available, which in central London is basically like finding gold. The housekeeping team does a thorough job, and I appreciated that they didn’t just change the towels and call it done. The whole place feels secure and well-maintained, with keycard access and proper reception hours.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, it comes down to value and location. You’re getting apartment-style living in Zone 1 London without paying West End prices. The freedom of having your own space — with a proper fridge and cooking facilities — makes longer stays so much more comfortable. Plus, being in Lambeth means you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the crowds to actually get some peace. For the price point and what you get, it’s one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your accommodation choice.

"Location and apartment were excellent, but until the day of arrival we had no idea if we even got it"
The location was excellent and the apartment itself was also really good. Clean and quiet apartment with fantastic location and everything within a 20-30 minute walk. It was very spacious (especially the bathroom) and aside from a few utensils, it was well equipped as well.
There was a grocery store right next to the apartment and a pub as well.
What could be improved: There is no reliable way to contact the host whatsoever. We had to call 3-5 times to reach them (since they wouldn't call or message us back) and messages through the portal where flat out ignored even though it was stated to message them on there if there are any issues.
We had no real confirmation until the very last day if we even got the apartment or if we end up at the location and them telling us there is no booking for us. The contact was awful and a few things such as proper knives or a trash bin were missing.

"Run away from this place"
Nothing.
What could be improved: I’m giving this place 1 star only because I can’t give it less. I would not recommend staying here for your holidays, or even long term. When I arrived, the apartment was quite dirty. I’m attaching photos of the shower full of mold (I had to shower with flip-flops), and because of that, the bathroom smells awful.
The bed is honestly the worst I’ve ever slept in. The mattress is so thin and worn out that during my 5-night stay I could feel the springs and everything inside digging into me. (Completely different from the thick, firm mattresses they advertise in the photos on booking sites.)
I contacted reception several times. When you check in, they tell you that for any issues you should write through Booking or whichever platform you booked on, as that’s “the fastest way to get a reply.” I’m still waiting for their response. I also emailed them, which supposedly takes longer but still gets an answer — 6 days later, nothing.
The area is far from quiet. The train passes right next to the building all day long. With the heat, you need to keep the window open (which barely opens a hand’s width), so you end up listening to trains all day. Another reason you can’t keep the window closed is the bad smell in the room overall, especially coming from the bathroom.
Since it’s an apartment, you’d expect at least a broom and dustpan since there’s no cleaning service — but there isn’t. Not even basics like a kitchen cloth or paper towels. The lack of cleanliness is striking; even if it’s meant for students, we still have basic needs.
Without a doubt, I don’t recommend this place and I will never return. There are cheaper and much better options out there.

"Localização excelente"
Localização excelente. Dá para ir andando para o Big ben. Tem bares, um posto com mercadinho e uma praça praticamente na frente da hospedagem.
What could be improved: Local com pouquíssima iluminação. Apesar de ter bastante sol no verão, de noite o quarto fica escuro e atrapalha um pouco a funcionalidade do local. Ar condicionado travado em 22° e quando fomos, estava muito calor.

Die Lage war sehr gut. Das Bett war sehr gemütlich. Zimmer und Badezimmer waren ausreichend groß.
What could be improved: Das Bett war sehr klein für 2 Personen. Das Badezimmer war nicht sauber. Auf dem Boden waren mehrere Flecken, und in der Toilette befanden sich noch Rückstände...

"Mala limpieza e instalaciones dejadas"
Es una residencia de estudiantes que en épocas de vacaciones se alquilar a otros estudiantes. He decir que a nosotros nos costó un poco que reconocieran nuestro estado de estudiantes, pero al final no hubo problemas. La recogida y entrega de llaves genial, todo fue rápido y sin muchas historias. En la habitación había vitro, microondas y menaje de cocina, lo que se agradece.
La ubicación está bastante bien, al lado del río y cerca de la parada de metro (5-10min)
What could be improved: Las instalaciones como tal dejan un poco que desear. No por lo que se ofrece, sino por el estado de las habitaciones. Son residencia de estudiantes y se entiende que tienen un uso intenso, pero no se cuidan nada los detalles. La habitación no estaba limpia, con el suelo sin barrer, polvo en armarios y cajones, fregadero con suciedad incrustada. El colchón estaba para jubilarlo, se hunde de forma increíble en la parte central y realmente no es nada cómodo. El baño era un caso aparte, en nuestro caso no tenía plato de ducha ni bañera, supongo que será adaptado para personas con movilidad reducida. Esto en verdad no sería un problema si todo estuviera perfectamente limpio, pero viendo el resto de la estancia y la cal de la grifería, no nos fiamos. El váter tenía costra de suciedad increíble (adjunto foto) y al grifo del lavabo se le caían las piezas. Por último, comentar que está muy cerca de las vías del tren, por lo que si hace calor y tenéis la ventana abierta hay un ruido considerable.
