Overview
First Impressions
Foley Street Apartments sits tucked away on Bourlet Close, which honestly took me a moment to find the first time — it’s one of those quiet Westminster side streets that feels refreshingly removed from the tourist chaos. The building itself has that understated London charm, nothing flashy, but you can tell it’s been thoughtfully converted. What struck me immediately was how residential the whole area feels, despite being so close to Oxford Street’s madness.
The Apartment Experience
This three-star property does the apartment concept really well — I mean, you’re getting proper living space here, not just a hotel room with a mini-fridge. The kitchen setup is actually functional (I’ve stayed in places where it’s basically decorative), and there’s enough counter space to prep a decent breakfast or late-night snack. The furnishings lean modern without being cold, and honestly, the whole setup feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed flat than a typical hotel.
Location Perks
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally a three-minute walk from Goodge Street tube station, which puts you on the Northern line with direct shots to Camden, King’s Cross, or down to the South Bank. London’s entire theater district is basically on your doorstep, and you can walk to the British Museum in about ten minutes. But the real win is Fitzrovia right outside your door — it’s got this brilliant mix of independent coffee shops, wine bars, and that slightly arty vibe that makes wandering around actually enjoyable.
Practical Stuff That Matters
The WiFi works properly (always my first test), and there’s decent parking nearby if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car here. Housekeeping keeps things spotless without being intrusive — they seem to have figured out that apartment-style guests want a bit more privacy than your typical hotel visitor. The building’s quiet too, which surprised me given how central everything is. I actually slept better here than at some countryside places I’ve stayed.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to blow you away with fancy amenities or a flashy lobby, but it delivers exactly what it promises — comfortable, well-located apartments that let you live a bit like a Londoner rather than just passing through. The 7.9 rating makes perfect sense to me; it’s the kind of place that grows on you as you realize how much easier it makes exploring the city. Plus, there’s something satisfying about having your own space to decompress after a day of sightseeing, maybe grab a bottle of wine from the Sainsbury’s around the corner, and just settle in for the evening.

"Spacious, good value, excellent for families!"
Excellent spacious rooms, 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and one with a bathroom just right across. Each bedroom located on a separate floor connected by stairs (no elevators). Living room spacious and well furnished and located on the uppermost floor, kitchen and dining table well stocked and spacious, 2 balconies available. Location is excellent, check in and check out process was smooth. Closets were all spacious. Apartment has washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher as well as an iron and ironing table. Laundry and dishwasher pods available. Kitchen had an oven, microwave, stove, fridge, freezer, and sandwich grill. Our favourite part was the toilet bidet spray installed at the master bathroom which was so helpful and convenient that we recommend it be installed in all bathrooms! Staff were easy to reach and very accommodating!
What could be improved: For our stay as it was in the summer time, it was way way way too hot despite having fans for each bedroom and renting additional portable ACs which were for a total extra £300 for 4x AC units one in each bedroom and one for the living room. The problem with the AC units was that each one was connected to a tube that pushed out hot air the other direction so was a bit counterintuitive (you have cold air come one direction from the AC which pumps out hot air via large tube the other direction). Therefore the apartment overall became too hot, humid, and stuffy quite quickly. Perhaps a stay in the wintertime might not have this issue. Also, the master bathroom could use some refurbishing as the shower had a lot of mould in it but the bathtub was ok. Not all bedroom windows opened and the one that did was on the ground/first floor so tricky to keep open, also kept getting stuck and difficult to navigate.

"10/10 recommend"
The location is fantastic, close to Oxford street, tube stations, bus stops, everything I needed was walking distance. The staff was amazing and accommodating to my requests and check-in was quick and easy. The apartment itself is enormous, fully equipped and very clean. Overall I recommend and would definitely book again.

"Pleasant"
Roomy, central location, well equipped.
What could be improved: Not everything worked (knobs in bathrooms, light switches..small stuff). Very noisy pumps running through at least one bedroom, and some noises coming from above the ceiling of a lower level bedroom. Bathrooms could benefit from refurbishing the grout, sofa needs new cushions.
Some areas need paint refreshed. All in all, a little maintenance is required.

"Awesome and would love to stay here again."
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful 3-bedroom apartment in London! The location is unbeatable—situated in a vibrant yet quiet area, it was close to major attractions, charming cafes, and excellent transport links, making it easy to explore the city.
The apartment itself was stunning—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed with modern amenities. Each bedroom was comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the living area provided the perfect space to relax after a day of sightseeing. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which made it easy to enjoy meals together as a group.
The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our stay was smooth from start to finish. This apartment truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient base in London.

"We had a fun time figuring out the quirky apartment."
Location, having a kitchen, funky decor.
Staff were helpful and communicative; and organized our payment directly when Booking.com was being glitchy.
What could be improved: Sad the property is in poor condition…the lights were complicated to use, and sometimes didn’t. The wifi wasn’t available. The electric curtains didn’t work, so couldn’t open them. The shower in top bathroom has side shower heads that were cold; so we moved to second floor bathroom…shower there moves around when you turn it on off, and lighting so low hard to work out what’s what. Microwave had missing feet, so door was tricky to open. Couch in lounge was very badly stained. There were doors and windows that didn’t lock, and no safe.

"THINGS DIDN'T WORK AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE TO HELP. NO PHONE NUMBER TO CAL"
LOCATION
What could be improved: THINGS DIDN'T WORK AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE TO HELP. NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL, NO EMAIL, JUST WHATSAPP. I HAD TO THREATEN A POOR REVIEW TO GET SOME SERVICE AND THEY STILL DIDN'T FIX THINGS

"Great location, spacious but outdated interior."
Location excellent and apartment spacios.
What could be improved: Felt apartment was not clean, dirty rugs. No light in one bathroom and supplies in condo were minimal. Felt like they rent the place often and it’s not well cared for. No spare pillows, linen, blankets, limited kitchen supplies.

"Awful smell in the apartment, would need some fixing and clean up. Great location but not worth the price."
The location is great, very close to Oxford street
What could be improved: There was an awful smell in the bedrooms that we couldn’t get rid off. The carpet in the main bedroom had major stains and many things in the apartment were not well cleaned and things off like a missing seating pillow in the couch, broken frames, marks on the walls etc. When arriving we had to wait outside for 10-15 minutes even though we had timed our arrival correctly, sent a message when on our way from the airport and arrived at the exact time. Plus we were charged extra for the late check-in.
