When I first arrived at Elevated Elegance 1BR 1BA Flat in Wellmeadow Rd 65B, honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name — it’s quite a mouthful. But stepping into this three-star apartment in Lewisham, I immediately got why they chose “elevated elegance.” The space feels surprisingly refined for the price point, with clean lines and thoughtful touches that make you forget you’re in what’s essentially a self-catering flat.
Location & Getting Around
Wellmeadow Road sits in a quiet residential pocket of London that most tourists never see, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. You’re about a 15-minute walk to Lewisham station, which gets you into central London in under 20 minutes — not bad at all. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel with proper local pubs and corner shops where people actually know each other’s names. I mean, it’s not Covent Garden, but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels genuinely London rather than tourist-London.
The Space Itself
The room layout works really well — the bedroom’s separate from the living area, which makes it feel more like a proper home than a studio. What impressed me most was the kitchen; it’s actually equipped for real cooking, not just reheating takeaway. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, and there’s decent storage throughout. You know what? The windows let in more light than I expected, probably because you’re not hemmed in by tall buildings like you would be in Zone 1.
Practical Considerations
The 8.2 rating makes sense when you consider what you’re getting for the money. Street parking can be a bit of a hunt during the day, but evenings and weekends aren’t too bad if you’re driving. The WiFi actually works properly — I was able to video call without any issues, which isn’t always guaranteed in London rentals. One thing to note: there’s no daily housekeeping since it’s self-catering, but the place was spotless when I arrived.
Why Guests Love It
This place hits that sweet spot between authentic London living and tourist practicality. You get the experience of staying in a real neighborhood while still having easy access to everything you came to see. The value is solid — you’re paying significantly less than central London hotels while getting more space and the freedom to cook your own meals. It’s perfect if you want to feel like you’re actually living in London for a few days rather than just visiting it.

What could be improved: I loved the property interior.
Perhaps more attention could be paid to the outside entrance area. Where bins were located was some fox or dog poo which made the bins/recycling inaccessible and was off putting. Aside from that a great stay.

"Very good"
On a quiet leafy street with basic groceries shops and restaurants (Indian, English, Italian) close by. A bus stop just round the corner, train to the centre less than five minutes walk. Kitchen well equipped, tea and coffee provided. Bed was OK if a larger one would be appreciated (but there is also a sofa ;-). Warm appartment, which is good to return to given the London weather in the Autumn. Just enough storage space for clothing and bags.
What could be improved: Perhaps fewer breakable items like vases and the like would be appreciated and somewhere to hang coats and the like. But none of this is realy important.

"We enjoyed staying here!"
The appartment was very good. It was clean and nice. The main bed in the main bedroom was very good. Communication was ok. We enjoyed staying here.
What could be improved: The sleeping couch in the living room could be better.

A very nice and well-equipped apartment close to the city center. We loved it; everything was prepared for us: clean sheets, towels, plenty of toilet paper and garbage bags, a TV with Netflix, etc. Excellent communication with the resident, who was always willing to help. We rented the apartment for three people and had plenty of space, feeling very comfortable. It's very close to the train station and a supermarket. A very enjoyable stay, thank you!

"Disappointing"
Smooth and straightforward check in, the apartment is also very affordable.
What could be improved: The property does not disclose that there is a Ring doorbell, which functions as a surveillance camera, located outside of the front door.
The bathroom could also do with some renovation as there are tiny bits of mould around the linking of the bath tub.

"I would want my trip to be partially refunded because of all the inconvenience upon arrival she demanded for more money"
Property was very dirty and very messed up , my bathroom was really dirty had broken Seat on the toilet upon telling the owner she did not do anything about it made my trip totally miserable
What could be improved: It was really crammed up property had really dirty toilet and Owner did not do anything about that

Spacious, convenient to transport
What could be improved: Actual experience very different and disappointing compared to photos and online information. No hanging space despite wardrobe/ closet listed which was full of cleaning things. Mouldy bathroom grouting, leaking shower taps - list goes on. Ground floor entrance- not ground floor apartment (as listed).

"Good"
Casa carina, in stile inglese, arredamento moderno, con bei soprammobili.
L'abbiamo trovata molto pulita.
Il nostro appartamento aveva l'angolo cottura spazioso e luminoso.
A disposizione caffè solubile, tè e lo zucchero per la colazione.
La camera da letto era spaziosa e ben illuminata ed il terzo letto era il divano letto in soggiorno.
Le foto corrispondono esattamente alla realtà.
Presenti i prodotti per il bagno come shampoo, bagno schiuma, balsamo, sapone per le mani e crema corpo. Non esistendo il bidet non si trovano neanche i detergenti intimi, quindi ricordatevi di portarlo da casa.
Asciugamani per ogni ospite più un set di riserva (almeno noi ne abbiamo trovato uno un più)
Molto comoda la cassetta per le chiavi all'ingresso con il codice, ogni mattina lasciavamo li le chiavi di casa, evitando di portarle in giro con il rischio di perderle.
What could be improved: Non c'erano un armadio o un appendiabiti, neanche da parete, per riporre i cappotti, e un portascarpe all'ingresso (Visto che, per la presenza di tappeti e moquette è obbligatorio entrare a casa senza le scarpe, sarebbe stato comodo avere un posto dove riporle)
