Elegant Plus Luxury Apartments
First Impressions
Walking up to Elegant Plus Luxury Apartments on Trafalgar Road, you immediately sense this isn’t your typical hotel setup. The building sits quietly in Culpin Court, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — you’re getting a proper five-star experience without the tourist circus that usually comes with it. The entrance feels more like stepping into an upscale residential building than a traditional luxury hotel, which I actually prefer.
Location and Greenwich Charm
The Greenwich location is brilliant, really. You’re a five-minute walk from the Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum, but more importantly, you’re in an actual neighborhood where locals live and work. I love that you can grab morning coffee from the little café around the corner or pick up groceries from the Sainsbury’s just down Trafalgar Road. The DLR station is close enough that getting into central London takes maybe 20 minutes, but you feel worlds away from the madness.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t hotel rooms — they’re proper luxury apartments, and the difference matters. My apartment had this gorgeous open-plan layout with floor-to-ceiling windows that actually opened (you know how rare that is in London hotels?). The kitchen came fully equipped with everything you’d need, including a proper coffee machine and even dishwasher tablets. You can tell they’ve thought about what people actually want when they’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two.
Living Like a Local
What struck me most was how the space felt designed for living, not just sleeping. The sitting area had this comfortable sectional where I actually wanted to spend time, and the dining table meant I could work comfortably or enjoy takeaway from the excellent Turkish place nearby. There’s a washer-dryer tucked away, which honestly saved me a fortune on laundry during my week-long stay. The bathroom felt like something from a high-end residential development — rainfall shower, heated floors, the works.
Why Guests Love It
I think what sets this place apart is that balance between luxury and practicality. You get the five-star touches — the Egyptian cotton bedding, the marble countertops, the underfloor heating — but you also get the freedom to live normally. There’s secure parking if you’re driving, though honestly, you won’t need a car much in this area. The staff manages everything remotely but they’re incredibly responsive when you need them. It’s perfect for longer stays, but even for a weekend, having that extra space and the option to cook makes the experience feel more authentic than staying in some generic luxury hotel in Zone 1.
