Creekside Apartment
First Impressions
When I first climbed up to the third floor of Ballard House on Norway Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from Creekside Apartment. The building itself has that classic London character — you know, the kind where you feel like you’re stepping into someone’s actual neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. Once I got inside though, I was honestly impressed by how spacious and thoughtfully designed this apartment felt for central Greenwich.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying in Greenwich — you’re actually in one of London’s most interesting pockets, and this four-star place puts you right in the thick of it. Norway Street is quiet enough that you’ll sleep well, but you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Cutty Sark and the National Maritime Museum. I mean, you can stroll down to the Thames in about three minutes, and honestly, there’s something pretty special about having that morning coffee walk along the river before the day-trippers arrive.
The Space
What struck me most was how this feels like a proper London flat rather than a hotel room — there’s a full kitchen that’s actually usable (not one of those tiny setups where you can barely make tea), and the living area has enough space to spread out your stuff. The bedroom is tucked away nicely, so if you’re traveling with someone, you both get some breathing room. The whole place has been updated recently too, so you get that modern comfort without losing the period building charm.
Getting Around
Greenwich station is maybe a seven-minute walk — I timed it because I’m weird like that — and from there you can get into central London pretty easily. But honestly, I found myself staying in Greenwich more than I expected because there’s just so much to do. The weekend markets, the Royal Observatory up the hill, and some really solid pubs that locals actually use. Plus, if you need to drive anywhere, parking around here isn’t the nightmare it is in other parts of London.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest place you’ll ever stay, but it gets so much right. You get the independence of having your own space, the charm of being in a proper London neighborhood, and you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you consider that you’re getting genuine value — it’s comfortable, well-located, and the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days rather than just crash between sightseeing marathons.
Apartments in London suit families with bright bay windows, full kitchens, and sunset loops through Hyde Park paths.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
