Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Cozy Flat in South Kensington on Cromwell Road, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere special” feeling. This four-star property sits right in the thick of things — I mean, you’re literally in one of London’s most coveted neighborhoods. The building has that classic London charm without being stuffy, and honestly, the location alone makes this place worth considering.
The Perfect South Ken Spot
Here’s what I love about this area — you’re a five-minute walk from the Natural History Museum, and the Victoria and Albert is practically next door. The South Kensington tube station is so close you could roll out of bed and catch the Piccadilly line without breaking a sweat. What really gets me though is how you can wander down to Hyde Park for a morning jog, then pop over to Harrods for some window shopping (or actual shopping if you’re feeling fancy). The neighborhood has this perfect mix of tourists and locals, so you get great people-watching from the nearby cafés.
The Apartment Experience
The apartment itself feels like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place rather than a typical hotel room. You’ve got your own space to spread out, which is honestly refreshing after dealing with cramped London hotel rooms elsewhere. The kitchen setup means you can grab groceries from the Waitrose down the street and actually save some money on meals — though with Borough Market just a tube ride away, you might find yourself eating out anyway. The whole place has been thoughtfully put together, and you can tell someone actually cares about the guest experience here.
What Makes It Work for Couples
I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something romantic about having your own little London hideaway. You’re not dealing with hotel lobby crowds or fighting for elevator space. Instead, you can grab a bottle of wine from the corner shop and settle in for the evening like proper Londoners. The area stays lively but not rowdy at night, and those tree-lined streets around South Ken are perfect for evening strolls. Plus, when you want to venture out, you’ve got everything from cozy pubs to Michelin-starred restaurants within walking distance.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
What really sets this place apart is that excellent location score they’ve earned — and trust me, it’s well-deserved. You know how some places claim to be “centrally located” but you end up taking three different tubes to get anywhere interesting? Not here. Everything feels accessible, whether you’re heading to a West End show, exploring Camden Market, or just want to sit in Kensington Gardens with a good book. The fact that it maintains that cozy, residential feel while being so connected to everything London has to offer — well, that’s the sweet spot every traveler hopes to find.

"Good"
Good, modern, spacious apartment, great for families.
What could be improved: Noisy ! Next to the train tracks, from 5:30am to midnight, trains are passing every 5 minutes just next to the bedrooms.

"Superb"
The apartment is comfortable modern private and full equipment. Travel connections made it easy to get to and to use as a base for exploring London.
What could be improved: Could hear noise from the house and nearby railway train.

Excellent Loaction, Apartment was very comfortable and well equiped. The description of the Apartment was very accurate.
What could be improved: It is a little noisy with construction work in the building but this was not really an issue for us.

"Great apartment, awful building"
The apartment was well renovated and clean
The renovation was a good quality with kitchens and bathroom well appointed
The shower head was superb, a rain shower that had great pressure
The kitchen was well equipped except there were no dish towels or even a towel to dry your hands and no counter spray to clean the counter tops.
What could be improved: The location is not where the dot is on the map. It’s on a busy part of Cromwell Road and even with double glazed windows the noise is terrible
The back bedrooms were facing the train lines in a rare part where the underground goes above ground. It was noisy at time but bearable.
The common foyer areas are terrible. They look like a crime scene has happened and the front door to the building was left unlocked and there were people milling about at times.
As a woman and having my 32 year old daughter with me, I did not feel safe.
The police arrived one day after getting a call to do a welfare check on someone who was thought to be living in the building. They mentioned that it was a very “transient” demographic in the building.
The main bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress was so thin you could feel the slats through the bed.
The towels were tiny and very thin
There was no homely decor and only one mirror in the bathroom. No pictures on walls, nothing that made you feel that you weren’t in a student hostel.
There was hand soap but no shampoo or conditioner.
Overall I would not stay here again or recommend this property to other travellers especially anyone who likes to feel safe. I did not feel good going back into the building late at night.

"Flat good, location not, building not."
The flat itself was great, it's clean, well proportioned, lots of room, everything worked and the default items (washing up liquid etc) provided were good and helpful. Wifi great, easy to log in and fast. The keys were easy to get and there was a lift to the 2nd floor flat.
What could be improved: The location was not where is was advertised on booking.com. It is actually between Gloucester Road and Earls Court, not Gloucester Road and South Kensington. Whilst it may not seem a big difference, I chose the flat based on location and cost. The communal areas of the building were pretty disgusting to be honest, smelly, dirty, dingy and left a feeling of "unsafe" with me. The lift was not cleaned at all (some chewing gum was in there when I arrived & remained all week). The flat was great, clean and bright and everything worked, but the building you had to use to get to it was not, I tried not to touch anything. I didn't like the host insisting on using WhatsApp for communications, they even tried to get me to bypass the filters on the booking.com messaging. That wasn't good and it was too late to cancel.

"Very good"
Immaculately clean, big spacious apartment, great shower
What could be improved: The window closing needs attention but it's a little thing

"Enjoyable"
It’s location.
What could be improved: The main entrance is very “grubby”. It needs to be cleaned and the main door needs painting. It is very off putting.

"Great location, apartment is of great quality with superb facilities."
The location was perfect and the facilities for our family of 2 adults & 2 children were good.
Communication with the property was good and it was straightforward to locate and pick up keys. Local amenities were fantastic, there are a couple of lovely eateries next door. There is also a large Sainsburys is less than 2minutes walk away.
10 minutes walk away from the Natural History Museum.
What could be improved: There is a tube line at the back of the property as mentioned in other reviews. If you are a light sleeper then this may not be ideal.
