Overview
First Impressions
Walking up Princeton Street to find [COVENT GARDEN] Apartment in Central London, you’ll pass by typical Georgian townhouses before spotting this modest entrance. It’s not flashy — honestly, I almost walked past it the first time — but that’s sort of the point. This three-star spot feels more like you’re staying at a friend’s place than checking into a traditional hotel, which can be exactly what you want when you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring London.
The Space
The apartment setup is what makes this place work. You get your own space with a compact kitchenette that’s actually functional — I mean, you’re not going to be cooking elaborate meals, but making morning coffee and storing leftovers from Borough Market? Absolutely. The room itself is on the smaller side (this is central London, after all), but it’s clean and has everything you need. The furnishings are basic but comfortable, and there’s decent storage space for a week-long stay.
Location Benefits
Here’s what I love about Princeton Street — you’re technically in Camden, but you’re literally a five-minute walk to Covent Garden’s buzz. Step outside and you can grab groceries at the Tesco around the corner, or wander over to Neal’s Yard for those Instagram-worthy shots. The British Museum is maybe ten minutes on foot, and honestly, you can walk to most of the major sights without dealing with the Tube during rush hour.
Practical Considerations
The building shows its age a bit — creaky floors and the occasional temperamental shower — but nothing that ruins the experience. There’s no parking on-site, which you’d expect in this part of town anyway. The nearest Underground stations are Holborn and Russell Square, both pretty manageable walks even with luggage. Wi-fi works fine, though it can be spotty during busy evening hours when everyone’s streaming.
Why Guests Appreciate It
What you’re really paying for here is location and independence. The 7.2 rating reflects exactly what this place is — solid, no-frills accommodation that gets the job done without breaking the bank. You’re not getting hotel services or a fancy lobby, but you are getting your own space in one of London’s most central neighborhoods. For travelers who want to live like a local for a few days rather than feel like tourists in a hotel corridor, it actually works quite well.
Guest reviews
"Overall this is great value for money for such a a perfect location and comfortable suite."
Host is very responsive and friendly. Check-in / check-out process is very straightforward. Location is ideal and really central.
Suite was clean and well equipped for 4 people.
What could be improved: Some elements could use some repair / modernisation (flooring; bathroom), but

"Excellent placement, great place to relax and sleep."
Although he apartment shows signs of being well used, it was just what we needed to relax in the evenings after exploring the city. Great for a family with teenage kids; separate bedrom a big pluss! Close to bus stops and Sainsbury's. Excellent communication with the host, easy to get in and out using the key box.
What could be improved: The stairs from the street up to the apartment are quite dark and filthy. However, we were happy to se the apartment was much nicer when we got in. Low shower pressure, so needed extra time to clean long/thick hair.

"Excellent location. Property is suitable for a couple"
The location was fantastic
What could be improved: The bathroom. It is very small and the shower is a wet room. That’s explained in the description but I somehow missed that.

"Very good"
Good accommodation suitable for a small family, perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. Quiet area with close proximity to transportation and a central location. Comfortable beds, duvets, and pillows. The sofa bed was also very comfortable. We all slept very well!
What could be improved: The bathroom is a bit small and the staircase narrow, making it somewhat inaccessible, but it is an old building so it is completely understandable. The shower curtain rod was not securely fastened, which contributed to the curtain not being able to be drawn back, in turn making the room feel even smaller.

Good location
What could be improved: We were really disappointed with the apartment; it was not what we expected, nor was it what was shown in the photos (in the photos, it looks bigger than what it actually is). The toilet only has scalding hot water, the toilet seat was broken or not installed, the floor outside the bathroom sinks, and the wall mirror was not properly secured—we had to fix it several times. The location is very good and the neighborhood is very quiet, but the price is not worth it.

What could be improved: Could do with blackout curtains, a little rough around the edges.

The location of the appartment is fantastic. For London-standards it might be okay ...
What could be improved: ... still, the appartment is in poor shape. It looks different than the pictures suggest and is certainly not comfortable. You flood the bathroom when taking a shower, the electricity goes on and off, and the door lock does not lock properly - to name just a few issues.
