Overview

First Impressions

Chancery Lane by Viridian Apartments sits right in the heart of legal London, and honestly, the location hits you immediately when you step outside. You’re literally surrounded by barristers in wigs rushing between chambers — it’s quite the scene if you’ve never experienced it before. The building itself has that classic London townhouse feel, though it’s been converted into serviced apartments rather than traditional hotel rooms.

The Neighborhood

What I love about staying here is how you’re positioned between two of London’s most interesting areas. Fleet Street is just around the corner with all its newspaper history, while Covent Garden’s buzz is maybe a five-minute walk south. The Royal Courts of Justice are practically next door, which means you’ll see some fascinating characters wandering about during weekdays. Lincoln’s Inn Fields — one of London’s largest squares — is close enough for morning jogs if that’s your thing.

The Apartment Experience

These are proper serviced apartments, not hotel rooms, which means each unit comes with a full kitchen and separate living area. The four-star standard shows in the details — good quality furnishings, reliable WiFi, and kitchenettes that actually have everything you need to cook a proper meal. I mean, after spending £15 on breakfast somewhere trendy in Covent Garden, you’ll appreciate being able to make your own coffee and toast.

Getting Around

Chancery Lane tube station is literally at your doorstep, which connects you directly to the Central line — perfect for reaching Oxford Street, Liverpool Street, or heading east toward Stratford. What’s brilliant is that you can also walk to Holborn station in about three minutes, giving you the Piccadilly line as well. Temple station isn’t much further if you need the Circle or District lines. You know what though? Half the time I just walked places because you’re so centrally located.

Why Guests Love It

The value proposition here is solid — you’re getting apartment-style accommodation in Zone 1 London without paying Mayfair prices. Business travelers seem to particularly appreciate the setup since you can actually spread out paperwork and work comfortably. The staff keeps things running smoothly without being intrusive, and there’s a 24-hour reception which gives you that hotel-like security. Plus, having your own space means you can come and go as you please, store groceries, and basically live like a temporary Londoner rather than feeling like you’re camping out in a hotel room.

Apartments in London suit families with bright bay windows, full kitchens, and sunset loops through Hyde Park paths.

"Very good"
Central,clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: It was very expensive. I thought the welcome pack could have had ground coffee and more milk. It seems a little disappointing to have a few catering portions of tea ,coffee etc.

The apartment was great for a base for us The kitchen could do with a few extra bits, a beautiful building and kitchen but needs a spatula But that was my own fault
What could be improved: The bedrooms have a little buzz at night due to the outside ac units nothing that can be done but bring ear plugs , you know if you know

"A delightful stay in London in a great location."
Fantastic well equipped appartment in a great location just off Fleet Street around 10 minute walk from Covent Garden and about the same to the nearest tube stations. Appartment was really well equipped for a weekend in London and was much larger than we were expecting.
What could be improved: Finding entrance on arrival was not the easiest due to scaffold being up at adjacent properties so not the properties fault, but property number could be more prominant on the front door. Communal area had an odd smell which others staying also commented on but no issues once in the appartment itself.

"Definitely would stay again.i would ask for a different flat. The location and size make up for a few minor drawbacks"
Great location. Easy walking to many attractions. Two tube stations within 10 minutes. Lots of grocery shops near by as well restaurants and pubs. Amazing amount of space. The washer/dryer was so handy. Beds are very comfortable. Two full bathrooms plus a cloakroom was very convenient
What could be improved: Bedrooms are below ground the noise from the alley can be annoying especially when the restaurants dump their bottles and the workers have a late night discussion. This also makes them slightly dark. The odd whiff of sewer. Flat one

"Inside the unit felt like home away from home. Enough privacy for two. Would stay again if they addressed soundproofing"
Beautiful two bedroom unit. Had all the amenities needed in bathrooms and kitchen. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Essy to take uber/taxi
What could be improved: Not very sound proof ceings. Noise of heavy foot walking and constant running above us through out the night was annoying. There was an odor in the entry way. Not sure if is from construction or sewer but a distinct smell

"Simply great"
Excellent location
What could be improved: Queen beds were somewhat small for two. King beds would have been perfect, even with some less furniture

"Lovely apartment in a historic and interesting area."
Excellent location - walking distance to tube and some great local pubs and restaurants. The apartment was huge and really comfortable, clean and tidy. Good showers and other facilities.
What could be improved: There was a strong smell of sewage in the entrance hall - once in the apartment though the smell was gone. Our room windows had bins outside which workers (?) banged quite a lot at night but to be expected in such a central city location.

"Very good"
Good location , clean ,well equipped and warm
What could be improved: Far too many steps to gain entrance , and then very steep stairs down to bedrooms … especially with heavy bags , this should be advised
