CENTRAL LONDON STAY-Fabulous Ultra-Central London Luxury Designer Two Bedroom-POOL-GYM-Full AC
First Impressions
CENTRAL LONDON STAY-Fabulous Ultra-Central London Luxury Designer Two Bedroom-POOL-GYM-Full AC has quite the mouthful of a name, but honestly, it delivers on most of those promises. This four-star property sits in Nine Elms, which — if you’re not familiar with London — is one of those areas that’s completely transformed in the last decade. You know what struck me first? The building itself feels properly modern, which is refreshing when you’ve been staying in cramped Victorian conversions all over the city.
Location & Neighborhood
Nine Elms used to be, well, not much to write home about, but now it’s actually becoming quite desirable. You’re walking distance to Vauxhall station, which gets you into central London in about 15 minutes — and I mean proper central, like Victoria or the West End. The new US Embassy is practically next door, and there’s this whole development of glass towers and wide pavements that feels almost un-London-like in the best way. Plus, you can walk to Battersea Power Station and that whole riverside area, which is pretty spectacular on a decent day.
The Space
The two-bedroom apartment is genuinely spacious by London standards — I mean, you can actually move around without bumping into furniture. The designer bit isn’t just marketing speak; someone clearly put thought into the layout and finishes. The kitchen is fully kitted out, which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights and don’t fancy eating out every meal (because let’s be honest, that gets expensive fast). Air conditioning throughout is a godsend during summer — you’d be surprised how many London places still don’t have proper AC.
Building Amenities
The pool and gym are actually decent-sized, not those tiny afterthought facilities you sometimes get. The pool especially — it’s not huge, but it’s proper length for swimming laps if that’s your thing. The gym has modern equipment that actually works, and it’s rarely crowded from what I noticed during my stay. There’s also secure parking if you’re driving, which in this part of London is worth its weight in gold.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to give you that quintessential London experience if you’re after cobblestones and period features. But if you want space, modern comfort, and easy access to everything London offers without the usual compromises, it works brilliantly. The 8.4 rating makes sense — guests appreciate having a proper base that doesn’t feel like you’re living in someone’s spare room. It’s particularly good for longer stays or if you’re traveling with family, since everyone can spread out a bit and there’s space to actually relax between sightseeing marathons.
