Overview
First Impressions
I’ll be honest — when I first saw Central Apartment, Kings Cross 6 mins walk listed, I thought it might be one of those places that stretches the truth about walking distances. But you know what? They’re actually spot on. Six minutes from my door to the Kings Cross platforms, and I timed it. The building itself sits on a quiet residential street in Islington, which feels worlds away from the tourist chaos just down the road.
The Space Itself
This four-star apartment setup really works if you’re tired of cramped hotel rooms. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you’d actually use — proper fridge, decent hob, even a dishwasher (which honestly saved my sanity during a week-long stay). I mean, the space feels like someone’s actual flat rather than a sterile hotel room, and there’s something refreshing about having a proper dining table where you can spread out your laptop or maps.
Location Perks
Here’s the thing about this spot — you get the best of both worlds. Kings Cross and St. Pancras are right there when you need them, but you’re tucked away on the Islington side where locals actually live. There’s a brilliant little café called The Breakfast Club about three minutes away that does proper full English breakfasts, and the Canal Museum (I know, sounds boring) is actually quite charming if you’re into quirky London history. The Regent’s Canal towpath runs nearby too, perfect for morning walks that don’t involve dodging tourists.
Practical Matters
The Wi-Fi actually works properly — I was doing video calls without any drama. Parking can be a bit tricky since it’s a residential area, but honestly, you don’t need a car from here anyway. The Piccadilly line at Kings Cross gets you to Heathrow in about 45 minutes, and the Elizabeth line now connects you to pretty much everywhere else. I found myself walking to Camden Market (about 15 minutes) more often than taking the tube because the route along the canal is actually quite pleasant.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes me about Central Apartment, Kings Cross 6 mins walk is that it feels like you’re staying in London rather than just visiting it. You’ve got proper space to unpack, a restaurant scene that caters to locals rather than tourists, and you’re close enough to everything important without being in the thick of the madness. The 8.6 rating makes sense — it’s not trying to be fancy, just comfortable and well-located, which is exactly what you want when you’re exploring the city.

Great location and apartament size. Kitchen is equipped as needed. Very good contact with the owner, prompt responses. Also, we were able to check in much earlier which was really appreciated

"Very satisfied"
Apartment was as shown in the photos online. Very clean, kitchen fully stocked with utensils and cooking wear, would be great for anyone staying long term/wanting to cook. Spacious, good wifi. Overall no major complaints
What could be improved: Bathtub plug was not working, which was a disappointment, but this was minimal compared to the good status of the rest of the apartment. Loud street noise, windows quite thin I suppose, another minor con

"A perfect flat in Central London"
A lovely property with a 10 minute walk to King's Cross station. The apartment is very central has a bus stop with a 2 minute walking distance and next to the station (within a 10 minute walk) there were so many restaurants, shops and anything you could have wanted. The flat is very cozy, clean and the host was also very nice. Therefore this flat was more than perfect for our trip to London this Holiday season. The keys were to be collected from a shop near the station, very safe and secure and allowed us to collect the keys at our prefered time.
What could be improved: Body wash was not provided but the host informed us prior to us arriving.

"Nice place to stay in London."
The apartment had everything we needed for a three-nights family trip. Check-in instructions were precise, the apartment was quiet. First we felt a bit cold, but we could turn on the heating and it worked well.
What could be improved: The bed was very soft and when one of us moved it made some squeaky noises.

"Very good"
Great location, rooms are relatively spacious, not like other apartments that are often cramped. Very nice interior, not gerneric, but actually has some soul, someone must have actually lived there at some point.
What could be improved: The bathroom does not have a window and i think due to always being damp it is smelling a bit mouldy.
