Overview
First Impressions
Cannon Street Serviced Apartments by LovelyStay sits right in the thick of the City of London‘s financial district, and honestly, the location hits you before you even step inside. You’re surrounded by those impressive Victorian and modern office buildings that make this area feel so distinctly London. The building itself has that classic City character — nothing flashy, but solid and purposeful in a way that actually feels more authentic than some of the glitzier hotel options nearby.
The Space Itself
What really sets this four-star property apart is how they’ve managed to create proper living spaces rather than just hotel rooms. Each apartment comes with a full kitchen setup — and I mean actually usable, not those tiny hotel kitchenettes that can barely handle making tea. The appliances are modern, there’s real counter space, and you’ve got proper dishes and cookware. It’s the kind of setup where you could actually cook a decent meal if you wanted to skip the restaurant scene for a night.
Location Perks
Being on Cannon Street puts you within walking distance of some seriously good spots that most tourists never discover. You’re maybe three minutes from the Monument (yeah, that big column commemorating the Great Fire), and Bank junction is right there with multiple tube lines. What I really appreciate is how close you are to Borough Market — about a 10-minute walk across London Bridge, perfect for grabbing fresh ingredients to use in that kitchen I mentioned.
Practical Considerations
The building doesn’t have its own parking, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for this part of London — you’re better off using public transport anyway. The apartments themselves are well-maintained and quiet, which is actually impressive given how busy Cannon Street gets during weekdays. You know what surprised me? How peaceful it becomes in the evenings and weekends when all the office workers head home.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.1 rating, guests consistently mention the independence factor — having your own space with proper amenities while still being in central London. The value proposition really works here; you’re getting more space and functionality than a traditional hotel room would offer at this price point. Plus, LovelyStay’s management is responsive when you need something, but they’re not hovering around like in some serviced apartment buildings. It’s that sweet spot between hotel service and apartment freedom that actually delivers on what it promises.
Guest reviews
"I will stop here again."
Simple and easy check in. Complimentary toiletries, cereals and selection of teas. Clean and comfortable, very quiet despite central location and nearby Tube station (I stopped somewhere nearby previously and the whole building shook when a Tube train passed underneath). Just a half hour walk to the main tourist part of London taking you down fleet street and passed St Paul's but there are multiple Tube stations nearby if you don't fancy the walk.
What could be improved: TVs weren't smart meaning all I could watch on the TV was free view so no Netflix and chill after a day exploring the city but that's not really that big a deal.

"Nice apartment in reasonably quiet location with an underground station near by"
Nice central but quite location - good facilities with a washing machine- handy underground station
What could be improved: Hob was difficult to turn on - needs a broom or vacuum in unit for longer stays

"I’ve stayed at a number of serviced apartments and this one was the very best. Very thoughtfully equipped and well run."
Very clean, spacious, well-equipped, well organized.
What could be improved: Would have loved to be able to fully open the windows for fresh air. The location makes more sense for business travel than leisure because there are so many banks and offices around.

"Comfort and Convenience in the City."
Great location—short walks to tube and train stations. The one bedroom unit was very clean and modern. Good to have a full kitchen and large washroom. Great accommodations in London.
What could be improved: No air conditioning and only one window could open. The unit became very hot and it was hard to circulate the air, even with a floor fan (which didn’t generate air). The bedroom window was fixed and could not open. When we asked how to operate the air conditioning, we were told that it wasn’t working and could only get a small table fan to help. We intentionally chose accommodations that offered AC so it was very disappointing and uncomfortable during a London heatwave. If this had been remedied, this would have been a 10/10.

"Brilliantly located apartment at reasonable price"
Brilliant location, room was huge and had everything I needed and more. As a solo young woman I can often feel nervous and unsafe when travelling but I felt completely safe in the apartments and the area.
What could be improved: Other guests were a bit loud coming in and out, no fault of the apartment - I think this was just due to the room I was in being next to the fire door.

"First time in the property but will certainly be returning."
Lovely location and the reception area, lift and room were modern and clean.
3 subway stations within 300yds and close to The City landmarks
What could be improved: The only thing that I found was the long mirror was in the wardrobe. This was very hard to access due to close proximity to the bed.
