Overview

First Impressions

Canada Water SE16 7AQ 2bed apartment sits in one of those modern developments that’s actually grown on me over the years. When I first spotted it near Canada Water station, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical — the area looked pretty industrial. But honestly, there’s something refreshing about staying in a proper two-bedroom apartment rather than cramped hotel rooms, especially when you’re traveling with family or friends who don’t want to share beds.

Location & Neighborhood

The Southwark location is cleverly positioned, though it took me a while to appreciate it. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Canada Water station, which puts you on both the Jubilee line and Overground — I mean, you can reach London Bridge in about 8 minutes and Canary Wharf in 5. The shopping center right there has everything you need for apartment living, from Tesco to Decathlon, which comes in handy when you realize you’ve forgotten something essential.

What surprised me most was how quiet it gets in the evenings. Sure, during the day there’s the usual urban buzz, but once you’re inside, it feels more residential than touristy. The nearby Surrey Quays area has some decent pubs and cafes if you want to venture out, though honestly, having your own space means you don’t feel pressured to eat out every meal.

The Space

This four-star setup really delivers on the apartment promise. The two bedrooms are properly sized — not those tiny London boxes you sometimes get — and there’s actually a separate living area where you can spread out. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune on takeaways during my week-long stay. I actually enjoyed making morning coffee while looking out at the water views (yes, there are glimpses of the Thames if you position yourself right).

The furnishing feels contemporary without being sterile. Everything works as it should, from the washing machine to the Wi-Fi, though the shower pressure could be a touch stronger. Still, having space to hang your clothes properly and store your luggage without tripping over it — that’s worth its weight in gold in London.

Why Guests Love It

You know what really sets this place apart? The freedom. No rushing down for breakfast before it ends, no worrying about housekeeping interrupting your afternoon nap, no cramped hotel lobby small talk. The 8.2 rating makes perfect sense when you consider you’re getting London accessibility with residential comfort. Families especially seem to love having separate bedrooms and the ability to prepare their own meals.

It’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it works brilliantly for travelers who want to actually live in London for a few days rather than just visit it. The Canada Water area keeps improving too — more restaurants, better transport links, and that sense that you’re staying somewhere real rather than touristy. For the price point, especially compared to central London hotels, it’s honestly a smart choice.

"Awesome apartment in great location."
Was very clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Across the street from tube station and supermarket. Hosts were extremely accommodating and helpful. Lift to the first floor for easy access. Security access made us feel very safe.
What could be improved: No complaints from us.

"On the whole it was a good flat. The landlord was very responsive to our txt msges."
This was a spacious, first floor flat which is modern and very well positioned. It is situated right next to a tube station (Canada Water) and close to a shopping area with a large supermarket. The kitchen/ lounge was very well put. Appliances were good although we didn’t use most of them as we ate outside. The bathrooms were well done and had all the essentials in them . Having a lift was a great advantage too.
What could be improved: The door leading to the balcony could not be locked as the key provided did not fit the lock. This impacted on security of the flat. The blinds for the glass door leading to the patio did not  work which meant we were unable to close them at night. As a result, there was no privacy when sitting in the living room especially at night and the living room overlooked a reasonably busy square. One wardrobe door in the main bedroom was unhinged and left leaning inwards which meant that if you tried to open the wardrobe, the door could fall on you.

Comfortable apartment.
What could be improved: The location is falsely advertised. It is NOT at London Bridge station. It is by Canada Water Station. The location there is nice, but it is not where the listing says it is

"Okay, but won’t stay again."
Easy instructions and if you’re in Canada Water a good location.
What could be improved: Would be a good location if you were staying in Canada Water, but misrepresented on Booking.com as being near the shard, it isn’t. Not hugely clean, a little tired and weird having silk sheets. Bars and restaurants noisy until 11:30pm

"Great location! Good value!!"
Spacious when there is 3 people staying! Great value compared to the super expensive hotels and great location with the tube and overground extremely close by! If you’re there on a weekend they have market stalls outside too which are great for food options.
What could be improved: Could have been slightly cleaner but can’t complain as overall good value!

The Flat was very good and it is easy access from the road and station. The host really made it easy to check in and checkout was allowed 30 mins late which helped my baby to ease and start our next journey.

"I would like to use it everytime I am in London. Excellent."
Spacious apartment with good facilities and unlike other apartments, it had everything you needed, even breakfast cereal, coffee and tea. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessities. Similarly, the bathrooms had everything you might need.
What could be improved: Everything is great. It is facing a square with food trucks and a restaurant. When you open the balcony door, you feel like you are part of the vibe. I liked it, but some people might not.

"Exceptional"
The location is unbeatable, with quick access to public transportation, shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions. Despite being in a central area, the apartment is very quiet and easy to relax in. The kitchen is fully equipped, which was ideal for preparing a few meals during my stay. The beds are comfortable, the linens are good quality, and the bathroom was spotless, with clean towels and complimentary toiletries. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was fast and stable at all times, something I especially appreciated for work reasons. The host was very friendly and attentive, always available to answer questions and make sure everything was perfect. You can tell they care about the details and provide a quality experience. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for comfort, a good location, and a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely return!
