Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, BeiRoom Hyde Park Apartments caught me off guard in the best way possible. Walking up Westbourne Street, you’d almost miss it — there’s no flashy signage or grand entrance, just a clean, understated building that fits right into the London streetscape. The lobby is compact but well-designed, and the staff actually remember your name after the first day, which is refreshing in a city this size.
Location & Getting Around
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You’re literally a three-minute walk from Hyde Park — I timed it because I’m that person. But more importantly, you’re in Paddington, which means Lancaster Gate tube station is right there, and suddenly the whole city opens up. The three-star rating might not scream fancy, but the location does all the heavy lifting here.
The Apartment Setup
Each apartment feels more like a proper London flat than a hotel room. The kitchen is small but functional — I actually cooked pasta one evening because the nearby Tesco made it too tempting to resist. The living space has this nice separation from the bedroom, which makes longer stays feel less cramped. Sure, the furniture isn’t cutting-edge, but everything works and feels clean.
Neighborhood Life
Westbourne Street itself is quiet — mostly residential with a few local shops that locals actually use. There’s a proper pub called The Swan about two blocks away that serves decent fish and chips, and if you walk five minutes toward Paddington Station, you’ll find everything from chain restaurants to that little Lebanese place that’s always packed (which is usually a good sign). The area feels safe, even late at night when you’re coming back from West End shows.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t about marble bathrooms or fancy room service — it’s about having your own space in one of London’s most expensive cities without completely draining your bank account. The apartments give you flexibility to eat in or out, store your shopping, and actually spread out your belongings. Plus, there’s parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in London, which is practically unheard of in this area. Most guests I chatted with in the lobby were either extended-stay business travelers or families who wanted more space than a typical hotel room offers, and honestly, that makes perfect sense.

"Excellent, affordable and would stay again."
Excellent location, easy for the tube and getting around on foot. Clean room with everything we needed including good heating! We even got to check in early as our room was ready which we really appreciated. Would stay here again.
What could be improved: Minor things to mention is just that we could hear some louder road noise even on the third floor as it was only single glazing window. There was no lift so had to climb up quite a few stairs to our room which we didn’t mind.

Excellent location and size of the apartment for a family of three
What could be improved: A bit noisy as windows are old, they could be upgraded for a quieter environment

"A very good comfortable room, but one or two minor problems"
A smallish room, but due to the high ceiling and well-planned layout it did not feel like it. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, a good-sized table for eating or working, a medium sized TV which showed all channels correctly, a large window which could be opened fully and plenty of enclosed storage space within the wardrobe. The kitchen had a quiet refrigerator, a kettle and an efficient microwave. There was sufficient crockery/cutlery for two people. The bathroom contained a toilet, a very small hand-basin and a good shower. The room was quiet and the apartment building was well located for Hyde Park, and has a number of local shops nearby, but is quite a way from the nearest supermarket. The nearest tube station is Lancaster Gate (Central Line), which is about 100m away.
What could be improved: There were very few usable power points, (i.e. not those already in use by the fridge etc.), in the room, although the two which do exist are very near the bed. The power points are however quite some way from the work/dining table, which could be a problem if using a laptop. The Kettle does not fit under the tap, meaning that it has to be filled by running water into a cup or glass and pouring it into the kettle. The door-handle on the shower was broken making it difficult to open the shower door from the inside. There was no tea-towel, and so crockery or cutlery which had been used and then washed up could not be dried and put away immediately.

"Good location near Paddington Station and Hyde Park."
This property is an easy walk from Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Staff are friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: There is no elevator. Laundry machines were out of order the first five days I stayed so I had to take my laundry to a local laundromat.
