Overview
First Impressions
2 Bedroom Apartment in Brixton with Wi-Fi sits on a quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the usual hotel experience. When I first walked up Hinton Road, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect — but this four-star place surprised me with how homey it felt. You’re getting a proper London apartment here, not some cramped hotel room, and that makes all the difference when you want to actually live in the city for a few days.
Location & Neighborhood
Brixton gets a lot of buzz these days, and staying here puts you right in the thick of it without the tourist crowds. The apartment is about a 10-minute walk to Brixton Market — which, by the way, is where locals actually shop for Caribbean spices and vintage finds. You know what I really appreciated? Being able to walk to the Tube station in under 15 minutes, but still having that residential London feel where kids play football in the street and neighbors actually say hello.
The Space
Two proper bedrooms mean you’re not tripping over suitcases or fighting for mirror time if you’re traveling with friends or family. The kitchen is actually functional — I mean, you can cook a real meal here, not just heat up instant noodles. There’s decent counter space and a proper fridge, which honestly saved me loads on eating out every night. The Wi-Fi works reliably (I tested it for work calls), and there’s enough space in the living area to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.
Practical Details
Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works and it’s clean. The shower has proper water pressure — something you can’t take for granted in London apartments, trust me. Parking can be a bit tricky since it’s street parking only, but that’s pretty standard for this part of town. The building itself is typical Victorian conversion, so you’ll hear your neighbors occasionally, but nothing too disruptive.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it gives you that “living like a local” experience without sacrificing comfort. You can grab groceries at the Sainsbury’s down the road, cook breakfast in your own kitchenette, and actually have space to hang up your clothes properly. For families or longer stays, having two separate bedrooms is genuinely game-changing — everyone gets their own space to decompress after a day of sightseeing. Plus, you’re saving money on meals since you can actually cook, and the location puts you close enough to central London without paying central London accommodation prices.

"A Great Place To Stay In Brixton"
The apartment was very comfortable, clean, had plenty of facilities to use and was only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Brixton. The colour scheme was also very pleasing and if messaged the property they were quick to respond. The price was also very good for what it was!
What could be improved: We were only provided with two towels, which does seem enough for only two people but back up towels would have been welcome, as would a mat to step out of the shower on to. This is a very minor quibble, though.

"Great stay"
We had a lovely stay at the apartment. Everything was ok and the apartment was very well equipped.
What could be improved: Noise from the street can be a bit disturbing.

"Very good"
Had everything we needed for a few days, good size, very clean, owner provided a cot on request
What could be improved: Sits on Loughborough junction so traffic is rather loud.
Has alot of stairs up to the apartment, we had a baby and 2year old so was quite tricky getting in and out. Had to leave our buggy under the stairs but it was safe

"Wrong location for us, felt unsafe in the front room with no opening windows which is a safety issue if you couldn’t get"
Same has the photos
What could be improved: Windows didn’t open in the kitchen/front-room making that room unbearable with no air circulating the room , there was fans but fresh air would’ve been better , I felt unsafe in the front room with no windows that would open I felt it was a safety issue If we needed to get out fast and couldn’t get out the front door , window handle not attached to the window frame in the front room , missing window handle in one of the bedrooms meaning the window didn’t stay shut , the stairs to the apartment needed a good clean , who ever stayed in the apartment 2 kept leaving the main door Unlocked when there is a notice saying for safety reasons kept the door locked at all times.

"Family weekend"
Close to station making it good for getting into London. Within walking distance of Brixton. Room enough for 4 adults. Kitchen well equipped with electrical appliances.
What could be improved: The property was not well maintained. On entering the stairs had loose carpet on one of the back of a step which made it a safety issue. In the larger bedroom the handle of the window was broken coming off when trying to use it. In bathroom screws in towel rail and toilet roll holder loose or missing. Extractor in bathroom didn't seem to work. Couple of chipped mugs and only 1 wine glass.

"Clean, comfy, but could use extras"
Clean, close to train station/restaurants/grocery, plenty of room for 3 people, all necessary kitchenware.
What could be improved: Floor of shower was VERY slippery, absolutely no storage (hooks, shelves, drawers, etc) in bedrooms and bathroom; we had only 1 bath towel each for a week's stay; directions for microwave would've been helpful; no communication from owner once there - we didn't know check out process, so just tidied up and left keys in lock box; outside door could be VERY difficult to lock/unlock at times - didn't always feel safe standing there fighting with it to open; windows didn't work properly, and 1 didn't close at all. Fyi- apartment is hard to find. Uber kept wanting to drop us further up the street.

"Overall, a good stay for the location, price, and amenities that were offered with the flat."
The location was convenient to the local stores, markets, and underground station which made travel rather easy. The flat also had WiFi which was a nice touch. The kitchen was equipped and ready for use for home cooked meals.
What could be improved: The beds were not comfortable, one of which was missing a board and created a "hole" to sleep in. We were able to fix this with pillows but not ideal. The amount of noise which we knew going into it was more than expected but after a while it became background noise.
