Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to 2 BED TERRACED FLAT PICCADILLY LINE on High Road, you immediately get that authentic North London vibe — none of that sterile hotel chain feeling here. The Victorian terraced building has character written all over it, and honestly, that’s what drew me in from the start. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s actual home rather than just another cookie-cutter apartment.
The Space
This four-star setup really delivers on the “home away from home” promise. The two-bedroom layout gives you proper breathing room — I mean, when was the last time you had an entire living area to spread out in? The kitchen is fully kitted out, which saved me a fortune on eating out every meal (London prices, you know). What really impressed me was how everything felt genuinely lived-in rather than show-home perfect.
Location Benefits
Here’s where staying on High Road actually works in your favor — you’re right in the thick of real London life. The Piccadilly line connection is genuinely handy; I could get to central London without all the tourist area markup on everything. Wood Green Shopping City is literally around the corner if you need anything, and there’s this brilliant little Turkish place two doors down that locals queue up for.
Practical Perks
The parking situation is way better than most London stays — there’s actually space for a car, which feels like winning the lottery in this city. Each room has decent storage, and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some places I’ve endured. The whole flat stays surprisingly quiet considering you’re on a main road, though you’ll hear the occasional night bus rumbling past.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart is that authentic London experience without the Zone 1 price tag. You’re living like a local rather than just passing through, and that makes all the difference when you want to actually experience the city. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but it’s comfortable, practical, and gives you a proper base to explore from — which is exactly what you want when you’re planning to be out discovering London most of the time anyway.
Guest reviews
"A lovely short and sweet stay. Very clean and tidy property!"
The property was exceptionally clean and tidy. The beds were also very comfortable, along with the wardrobes big enough to fit all clothes and belongings in. The location was also very handy for us, with the Piccadilly line just a 5 minute walk. Shops everywhere, bus stops just outside. The property also had very good heating system so we never felt cold inside. The bathroom was also very spacious, very nice and clean. We really enjoyed our stay at this property, The host was also very good with communication, sent very detailed videos of how to gain access to the property and into the flat.
What could be improved: The only downside was that there were no hand towels or bath towels in the bathroom. Which was inconvenient but we had already taken our own towels with us so didn’t really seem like a big issue for us. Also the stairs to get into the flat can be very tiring if you have children, a buggy and a few bags to carry upstairs but we managed either way :)

"The flat was clean and everything we needed for a one night stay after a gig at Alexandra Palace."
We stayed for one night after a gig at Alexandra Palace - the location of the flat was ideal for this. The host was very helpful regarding check in. The flat was clean and well decorated.
What could be improved: The only minor improvement would have been more cooking equipment, eg chopping board and a baking tray.

"Nice little 2 bedroom flat for a quick visit to the area, Only a short taxi ride to the Alexandra Palace"
Great location for our gig at the Ally Pally
What could be improved: Parking a bit awkward as you are on a main road

"Really convenient property for Alexandra palace that was clean & comfortable"
Excellent location. Good transport links to both central
London & Alexandra Palace. Lots of restaurants, bars, cafes & food shops close by.
Good communication from the host.
What could be improved: The property was clean & tidy but could do with some maintenance in places to smarten it up. It isn’t quite as homely as it looks in the photos.
A lot of street noise in the early hours of morning from delivery vehicles to shops, but to be expected for a busy shopping street.
Some instructions on how to use some of the appliances would be useful.
