You know what caught me off guard about 2bd Nest in Saint John’s Wood? It’s tucked away on Alexandra Road in a way that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the typical tourist crowd hasn’t. This four-star property sits in one of London’s quieter neighborhoods, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work so well.
The Neighborhood Feel
Saint John’s Wood has this village-like quality that’s rare in central London — you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the chaos. I mean, Lord’s Cricket Ground is practically next door, and the famous Abbey Road is just a short stroll away. The area feels residential in the best way, with tree-lined streets and that sense of stepping into a more relaxed version of the city.
The Space Itself
What you’re getting here is essentially a two-bedroom apartment that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel. The kitchen is actually functional — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but proper appliances where you could cook a real meal if you wanted to. Each room has character without trying too hard, and the living area gives you space to spread out, which is something you don’t realize you miss until you have it again.
Getting Around
St. John’s Wood tube station is close enough that you’re connected to the rest of London without feeling like you’re staying in the thick of it all. That’s the sweet spot, really — you can be in the West End in fifteen minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re returning somewhere that actually feels peaceful. The local high street has everything you need, from groceries to a decent coffee shop for morning caffeine.

"Good night sleep."
Once inside the apartment it was clean, comfortable and fully furnished, cleaning equipment was provided, kitchen fully kitted out and everything worked. The apartment block was quite at night and as a lone female I felt safe inside with good security locks on the door. Bed was comfortable and super clean bedding. I have given an 8 only due to the entrance hall, stairs and landing leading up to the apartment its poorly presented with torn and thread bare carpets, large spillages and generally dirty and tired, I was worried that the apartment would be the same condition but was really presently surprised and very much relieved. Instructions from the host where clear and the key box was accessible.
What could be improved: Entrance, hall stairs and landing leading upto apartment is untidy with dirty stained carpets, thread bare stairs treads, push light was not spotted on first night making stairs difficult at night. All really needs a good refresh..

"Close to rail, underground, convinient stores and retaurants. Quiet and neat apartment."
It is a quiet environment with shops and restaurants a few minutes walk from the house.
What could be improved: The apartment is two floors up and has no lift. It is best if one has no problem with climbing stairs.

"Very good"
Comfortable and well equipped. Good communication prior to arrival. Not too far from tube station, so easy to use as a base to explore London.
What could be improved: Sliding door on bathroom broken and not moving properly so had to rescue friend at 3am who got stuck in there. Sliding door on shower also broke during our stay. Hopefully these issues will be resolved for next guests, but this was our experience.

Property was very modern , and good access to different parts of London , good value

What could be improved: Bed very uncomfortable, dirty sheets and duvet

Rooms very dark
Wifi very slow, had to connect to mobile hotspot
Has good potential if things above were fixed
Check in instructions not clear
Not a lot of space to cook

"This is a great flat and I highly recommend staying here."
The flat was great. Very comfortable beds and well apportioned. The owners were available to answer any and all questions. Only a few minutes walk away from bus and train stations. Plenty of food and shops within a short walk as well. We will gladly book again, if it’s available, on our next trip to London.
What could be improved: There was nothing to not like!
