ARCORE Premium Apartments London Bridge
First Impressions
ARCORE Premium Apartments London Bridge sits quietly on Duchess Walk in Southwark — and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to actually sleep in London. The building itself is modern without being flashy, which I mean, works perfectly for this area that’s caught between the tourist chaos of Borough Market and the business district vibe of London Bridge station.
Location & Getting Around
You’re basically a five-minute walk from London Bridge station, which sounds simple enough until you realize how much that actually opens up. The Northern and Jubilee lines put you pretty much anywhere in central London without the usual tube hassles. What I really appreciated though was being this close to Borough Market — you can grab proper coffee and pastries in the morning instead of settling for whatever’s near your hotel.
Southwark Cathedral is right there too, and the Thames path runs along the river if you’re into those early morning walks (or late-night strolls when jet lag hits). The Shard looms overhead, but you’re far enough away that it doesn’t feel oppressive.
The Apartment Experience
This is where ARCORE gets interesting — these aren’t hotel rooms, they’re actual apartments with proper kitchenette setups. The room I stayed in had enough space to spread out, which you know is rare in London. The kitchenette isn’t going to win any design awards, but it’s functional enough for making breakfast or heating up takeaway from Borough Market.
The furniture feels like it belongs in a decent rental flat rather than a hotel — there’s a proper dining table, a sofa that’s actually comfortable, and enough storage that you’re not living out of your suitcase. It’s a three-star place, so don’t expect marble countertops, but everything works and feels clean.
Practical Details
The building has parking available, which honestly surprised me given how central this location is. WiFi was solid throughout my stay — important when you’re trying to work or just figure out London’s bus routes. The front desk staff were helpful without being overly chatty, and they actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give decent restaurant recommendations.
One thing worth noting — the apartments don’t come with daily housekeeping like a traditional hotel. You get fresh towels and basic cleaning, but it’s more like staying in a serviced apartment than a full-service hotel experience.
Why Guests Love It
Look, ARCORE isn’t going to blow you away with fancy amenities or stunning views, but it does something more valuable — it gives you a proper base in central London without the usual compromises. You get space to actually unpack, a kitchen to save money on meals, and a location that puts you within walking distance of some of London’s best food and culture.
For the price point and location, it’s honestly hard to argue with. You’re getting apartment-style living in Southwark, close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the crowds that you can actually relax when you get back each evening.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
