Overview
First Impressions
Apt 2, Soho Apartments 1st floor by Indigo Flats sits right in the thick of things on Wardour Street, and honestly, you can’t get much more central than this. The building itself has that classic London townhouse feel — you know, the kind where you’re climbing up to the first floor and can already hear the city buzzing just outside. It’s not trying to be fancy, but there’s something genuinely appealing about staying in what feels like a proper Soho flat rather than another cookie-cutter hotel room.
The Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about this location — you’re basically living like a local in one of London’s most vibrant quarters. Step outside and you’ve got Chinatown literally around the corner, while Leicester Square and Covent Garden are just a few minutes’ walk away. I mean, the restaurants here are incredible, from proper dim sum places to those little Italian spots that somehow survive the rent prices. You’ll find yourself popping out for coffee at odd hours just because you can, and there’s always something happening on the streets below.
The Space
The apartment itself feels surprisingly spacious for central London — and trust me, that’s saying something. You’ve got a proper kitchen setup, which is actually useful when you want to grab groceries from the Tesco Metro down the street and have breakfast without paying hotel prices. The layout works well, with enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. It’s that perfect balance where you feel settled rather than like you’re just passing through.
Why It Works
What really makes this four-star place special is how it lets you experience Soho properly. You’re not stuck in some isolated hotel bubble — you’re right in the mix of theaters, record shops, and that slightly chaotic energy that makes this area so addictive. The fact that it’s managed by Indigo Flats means you get decent service when you need it, but mostly you’re left to your own devices. Parking is obviously a nightmare around here, but honestly, you won’t need a car anyway.
Why Guests Love It
People keep coming back because it strikes that sweet spot between independence and comfort. You get the freedom of having your own space — complete with kitchen facilities and room to actually live a bit — while being steps away from some of London’s best entertainment and dining. The 8.2 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting authentic Soho living without the hassle of actually renting a flat here. Plus, there’s something satisfying about telling people you’re staying “in Soho” rather than “near” it — because location really does matter, especially in a city like this.

"Loved it, would definitely stay here again."
Loved the location, buses and trains from Tottenham Court Station- only a 6 min walk away, made getting to the property from Heathrow when we arrived, and to St Pancras international train station to catch the Eurostar when we left both easy and inexpensive. We were surrounded by cafes and restaurants, and a small grocery store was only a block away. We walked to the major sites including Big Ben and Westminster, Buckingham palace, Trafalgar Square, and easily caught a bus to the British museum which we went to late in the day and so were a bit tired to walk. The location allowed us to make the most of our 3night, 2day stay, even fitting in a musical at the Dominion theatre, about a 7min walk away. The property felt secure, with code entry into the building from the street as well as to the apartment once inside, loved not needing to worry about keys. Nice coffee at the cake shop pictured just 2 doors away.
What could be improved: Very small point but a little bit of maintenance needed on one of the kitchen cupboard door hinges. The sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable. The kids found the water temperature in the shower a bit hard to regulate to a comfortable temperature but I found it fine.

"Perfectly located 1 bedroom apartment"
Perfect location in the centre of London. No elevator but only few stare steps as it is on the first floor. Professional management. Minimal noise from outside allthough in Soho
What could be improved: It is a little bit small for 2 adults and 2 children but it was not a big issue for us.

"Sweet in Soho"
Excellent location in the heart of London. Transport abundantly available shops, restaurants and entertainment on the door step. The apartment had everything for a good stay. Staff were attentive yet communicated with sms/email only. Great to have an apartment to cook or store food for cold rainy nights! Heating system was ample. This flat is located in a bustling part of London (Soho) so busy streets are part of the experience. Windows offered street views.
What could be improved: I generally grade accommodations when travelling by cleanliness, bed comfort and shower/bath. Bed and bath in this flat requires attention: The bed was in the end comfortable, very soft, and must say seemed well worn. The shower was temperamental with water pressure and lack of sustained temperature control. The toilet had a weak flush which required more flushing than usual. The laminate floor creaks loudly and the walls were thin, so noises could be heard.

Great location and good space for family of 4.
What could be improved: Got hot in apartment but was rectified by opening windows.

"The place is nice, perfectly located but needs some maintenance."
It was in a very great location
What could be improved: The mattress was very uncomfortable, you had to sleep in the middle to be ok otherwise you could fall off. The shower had minimum water pressure, I found dirty dishes in the dishwasher and the entrance and stairs had a smell

"Great apartment in a great location."
Fantastic location. Plenty of great cafes and restaurants on the same street and close to the tube. The apartment had everything we needed for a family of 4.
What could be improved: The shower pressure is poor. The bed in the main bedroom wasn’t the most comfortable.

"Nice flat in a fantastic location"
The location is great, and the flat is very nice and well provided. They provided us with all needed information in advance, so we had truly no issues whatsoever before, during or after our stay.
What could be improved: Sadly, the bedroom bed is so soft that we sunk in it. We had to swap places with the kids and sleep in the sofa.
