Apt 3, Opera House ensuite 4th Floor by Indigo Flats
First Impressions
Walking up to Apt 3, Opera House ensuite 4th Floor by Indigo Flats on King Street, you’re stepping into one of London’s most theatrical neighborhoods — literally. This four-star apartment sits right in the heart of Covent Garden, and honestly, the location hit me before I even got inside. The building itself is classic London townhouse style, and yes, it’s a fourth-floor walk-up, but the views you get from up there? Totally worth the climb.
The Space Itself
This isn’t your typical hotel room — it’s a proper one-bedroom apartment that feels like someone’s stylish London flat. The ensuite bathroom is actually quite spacious for London standards, and the shower has decent pressure (which, trust me, matters after walking around the city all day). What I really appreciated was the little kitchenette setup — nothing fancy, but enough to make morning coffee or store leftovers from that amazing Indian place around the corner.
Location Magic
You know what’s brilliant about staying here? You’re basically living above one of London’s most vibrant areas. The Royal Opera House is practically next door — I mean, you can see it from the windows — and Covent Garden Market is a two-minute stroll. But here’s the insider bit: while you’re right in the thick of things during the day, King Street actually quiets down nicely in the evenings, so you’re not dealing with constant street noise.
Neighborhood Gems
The surrounding streets are packed with those proper London pubs and theaters you’ve probably heard about. Somerset House is just across the Strand, and you can walk to the Thames in about five minutes. What I loved was having Neal’s Yard nearby — this colorful little courtyard with organic shops and cafes that most tourists miss. Plus, Covent Garden Tube station connects you to basically everywhere you’d want to go in London.
Why Guests Love It
After staying here, I get why this place scores an 8.7 rating. It’s that perfect balance of being independent (you’ve got your own space and keys) but still having the convenience of a serviced apartment. The Indigo Flats team is responsive when you need them, but they’re not hovering around. For the price point in this area, you’re getting serious value — especially considering you’d pay twice as much for a hotel room with half the character in the same neighborhood.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
