Apartment – Sleeps 4 & Free Parking
First Impressions
Apartment – Sleeps 4 & Free Parking might not have the flashiest name, but honestly, it delivers exactly what it promises. When I first walked up to this converted Victorian building on Finchley Road, I wasn’t expecting much — but you know what, sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you. The building has that solid North London charm, and you can tell it’s been thoughtfully converted into modern accommodations.
Location & Neighborhood
Being in Camden puts you in one of London’s most vibrant areas, though this spot on Finchley Road actually feels more residential than touristy — which I mean as a compliment. You’re close enough to all the Camden Market madness when you want it, but far enough away to actually get some sleep. The Finchley Road tube station is practically on your doorstep, and I found myself in central London within 20 minutes most times. Plus, there’s a Sainsbury’s just down the road, which became my lifesaver for morning coffee supplies.
The Space Itself
This four-star apartment genuinely sleeps four people comfortably — not in that cramped way where someone’s stuck on a pull-out couch. The layout actually works, with a proper living area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The kitchen is compact but functional; I managed to cook a few meals without feeling like I was playing Tetris with the appliances. The best part? That promised parking spot is real and actually free — which, if you’ve ever tried to park in North London, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold.
Practical Comforts
Look, this isn’t a fancy hotel with a concierge, but the room setup is thoughtful. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back, and there’s decent storage space for your stuff. The bathroom is clean and modern — nothing groundbreaking, but everything works properly. WiFi was reliable, which matters when you’re trying to navigate London or catch up on work. The heating actually kept the place warm during my November stay, which isn’t always a given in older London buildings.
Why Guests Love It
After staying here, I get why this place works so well for certain travelers. If you’re a small group or family who wants independence without hotel prices, this hits the sweet spot. The combination of space, location, and that precious free parking makes it genuinely practical. Sure, you won’t get room service or daily housekeeping, but you will get the freedom to come and go as you please in one of London’s most interesting neighborhoods. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re actually staying in London, not just visiting it.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
