Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Aparthotel Adagio London Sutton Point, you immediately get that modern aparthotel vibe — it’s sleek without being intimidating. The lobby has clean lines and contemporary furniture that actually looks comfortable, not just stylish for the sake of it. What struck me right away was how the staff genuinely seemed to know what they were doing, which honestly isn’t always a given at chain properties.
The Sutton Advantage
Here’s the thing about Sutton — most people write it off because it’s not Central London, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re still properly connected to everything via Sutton station (literally a few minutes’ walk), but you’re not paying Zone 1 prices or dealing with the constant tourist chaos. The area around Sutton Plaza has this nice suburban energy with actual shops locals use, plus you’ve got decent restaurants within walking distance that don’t feel like tourist traps.
The Room Experience
The apartment setup is where this four-star place really shines — you get a proper kitchenette with a full-size fridge, which means you can actually store leftovers or grab groceries from the nearby Sainsbury’s. The room itself feels more like a compact flat than a hotel space, with enough storage that you’re not living out of your suitcase. I mean, the bed was comfortable enough, and the bathroom had decent water pressure — sometimes it’s the simple things that matter most when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.
Practical Perks
What I really appreciated was the on-site parking — if you’re driving in this part of London, you know how much of a relief that is. The fitness center is small but functional, and there’s a restaurant downstairs that serves decent food without being fancy about it. The Wi-Fi actually works properly throughout the building, which you’d think would be standard everywhere by now, but well… it’s not.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, this place hits that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment flexibility. You’re not stuck eating out for every meal, but you’ve still got housekeeping and front desk support when you need it. The location gives you easy access to central London without the premium prices, and the whole setup feels designed for people who are actually staying in London for a reason — whether that’s business, visiting family, or just wanting a proper base for exploring. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, just a solid, well-run option that gets the basics right.

"Good location"
Good location, within walking distance of family nearby but the train station is round the corner and buses etc if needed.
What could be improved: It was incredibly warm, heating doesn’t turn down, no opening windows or air vents and the pillows are absolutely diabolical!

"I would definitely stay here again as I have a dog and she was made very welcome too."
Breakfast was lovely, although each day I did have to explain I was a genius at Booking.com because they kept saying that breakfast wasn't included when it was. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the room was excellent - clean and spacious. On Christmas morning, we woke up to a little goody bag on our door!
What could be improved: I understand why, but the view from our room was just of the rooms opposite but that's okay.

"Great!"
The hotel is situated right next to the Sutton London trainstation, with a direct connection to London Victoria Station from where you can basically go anywhere in the center via Underground services. The hotel itsself is spaceous, with a breakfast / lunch / dinner lobby on the first floor that includes a small bar. Reception is available 24/7 for questions. Staff is mostly young (and thus somewhat uninterested as we all were at that age) but overall helpful and gets the job done. The room (I was in 809) was spaceous enough, with a queen bed. I'm 6'3" and I had to lay in it horizontally for most of the trip, so tall people may want to take this into account. The room had a TV (I didn't use it) and a kitchen with a fridge, dishwasher, oven, cooking unit and a washer / dryer. Bathroom is simple, shower only, but does the job. Large mirror there, and well lit. There are bus stops near the hotel, and High Street is just around the corner and provides you with a large selection of bars, pubs, stores and two small malls. As in most of Europe, nail salons and phone shops are taking over in most of the area, but there are still some fun shops. For shopping you will want to travel to London mostly anyway. You can do that by using the Southern Train service that goes to and from London quite a few times every hour. Will take you about 35 to 40 minutes usually. I used that time to do research regarding where I wanted to go and what underground train to take so in that sense it wasn't too bad.
What could be improved: There was a draft in the room. I thought it was the airconditioning, which I was unable to turn off. I contacted staff and they were helpful and had the maintanance guy look at it who promptly fixed the airconditioning. However on day three of my stay I found it was actually the little air vent in the middle of the room that was causing the draft. I get a cold quite easily from such drafts, so that was not ideal but I guess with a large building like that there's always going to be little things like this and the rest of the room made up for it.
Something to keep in mind is that the big mirror in the bathroom is heated to prevent condensation. This works wonders, but since the bathroom is small it heats up pretty fast in there, and as a result of that leaving the door open will heat up your room pretty fast. On the other hand, it was always nice and comfy in the bathroom, never cold. You just have to remember to close the door.
Overall this hotel was way better than I expected.

"Good value for money, good amenities, great location"
Very clean, tidy, easy to check in and out. Far from London city but very close to the train station.
What could be improved: Maybe the service at the restaurant in the evening was poor. Only one person cooking and serving at the same time.

"Hoilday"
I liked the room and facilities. Staff was nice and helpful.
What could be improved: Paying at the car park at the back. One night i forgot to pay for another 24 hours by an hour. I told the receptionist that I totally forgot. I'm hoping I dont get a fine. I was there for 4 nights.

"Superb"
What could be improved: The only negative comment is that there was a bad smell of the drains in the bathroom. Other than that we would highly recommend.

What could be improved: Car parking is not enough and I need to get my car out side.

"Excellent choice for extended business trip."
Great choice for extended business trip. Clean and secure. Excellent Sound-proofing.
What could be improved: Bed was so hard and uncomfortable. Ironing amenities was broken. A bit over-priced for its location in Sutton, far outside London. I found similar options for better prices in the heart of London.
