Overview
First Impressions
When I first spotted Amazing studio in Central London tucked away on Kings Mews, I’ll be honest — the name made me a bit skeptical. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the most straightforward names actually deliver. This four-star studio sits in one of those quiet Camden corners that tourists usually walk right past, which is honestly part of its charm.
The Neighborhood Feel
Kings Mews itself is this lovely little cobbled street that feels completely removed from the chaos of central London, even though you’re literally minutes from everything. I mean, you can walk to Russell Square in about ten minutes, and the British Museum is practically on your doorstep. The Camden location puts you right in that sweet spot where you get the residential vibe without sacrificing access to the major sights.
The Space
The room — well, it’s really more of a compact living space — makes clever use of every square inch. There’s a proper kitchenette that actually works (I’ve seen too many token kitchen setups that are basically useless), and the layout flows surprisingly well for what’s essentially a studio. The furnishing feels contemporary without trying too hard, and there’s enough storage that you won’t be living out of your suitcase the entire stay.
What Works in Practice
Here’s what I really appreciated — the location gives you options. Want to grab coffee and pastries? There’s a brilliant little café about two streets over that the locals frequent. Need groceries for that kitchenette? Sainsbury’s is a short walk, and there’s a Tesco Express even closer. The area stays pretty quiet in the evenings, which means you’ll actually get decent sleep, but you’re still close enough to Covent Garden and the West End that a night out doesn’t require major planning.
Why Guests Love It
Look, with a 7.5 rating, this isn’t going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises. The studio works especially well if you’re planning to spend your days exploring rather than lounging around the hotel — which, let’s face it, is probably why you’re in London anyway. The mews location gives you that authentic London residential experience, and having your own kitchen means you’re not forced into expensive hotel dining or constant restaurant meals. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in London rather than just visiting it.
To book a hotel in London during opera season, visitors plan ahead to balance Royal Opera House nights with quiet Regent’s Canal strolls.

"Good"
Spacious room in an exceptional location. The amenities were great and made it feel like home. The room was well-equipped with almost all cooking facilities, including an oven and dishes, which was a big plus.
What could be improved: Basic toiletries like body wash were missing, and many cupboards were filled with the owner's belongings. There was visible dust behind the bed and sofa, suggesting those areas hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also, placing a drying rack full of clothes in the middle of the room took away from the first impression. These are small issues, but addressing them could really enhance the overall experience."

"Very comfortable and spacious studio apartment with an excellent location."
Excellent and very safe location. Good value for your money. Very close to bus stop (aka 2 minute walk). If you want to leave bags before check-in time, you can coordinate with the owner. Also, good restaurants and other amenities around the area.
What could be improved: Basic toiletries like body wash were not provided so you have to buy them yourself. The drying rack was full, and unfortunately, the towels were not dry for our first evening. Also not a problem for us but you can hear everything happening on the street.

"All you need"
Great place to stay. Good location. Easy access to key. bed was super comfy it has everything you need really for a nights stay. Owner quick to reply .
What could be improved: Main door tricky to open. A shame there were no windows but no matter. Washing in middle of room on arrival, I get there was no where else to place them. Unfortunately bin not emptied, fridge had things in and clothes In wardrobe. Owner very good at communicating. It does say there is a microwave, but there isn’t and the oven is tricky to use, maybe a booklet on it would be handy.

"Passable"

What could be improved: There were clothes and bedding wet , left in a cloth’s horse when I arrived , it’s a studio and does not have a separate bedroom as per advised - also it was loud due to boiler - next too loud road

"Great location- Cold shower, damp room, moldy bathroom."
The flat is in a fantastic location. Really central and only 30min walk from Oxford street.
What could be improved: The property has damp coming through on some walls, the kitchen cupboards are peeling, there is mold in all the silicone and grout in bathroom. The whole place felt damp when I arrived hot steamy and this was due to washing being left to dry with no windows open etc.
To top it off I didn’t have any hot water for a shower. I messaged the owner and got nothing but a “sorry”
