First Impressions
Walking up to Cosy studio close to King Cross on Regent Square, I wasn’t sure what to expect — the name pretty much says it all, honestly. It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be anything fancy, just delivers exactly what it promises. The Georgian square it sits on is actually quite lovely, with that classic London garden square vibe that feels surprisingly quiet despite being so close to all the action.
The Studio Setup
The room itself is compact but thoughtfully designed — I mean, they’ve really maximized every inch without making it feel cramped. What impressed me most was the kitchenette area; it’s small but has everything you actually need if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Waitrose and cook something simple. The bed is comfortable enough, and there’s decent storage space, which is more than you can say for a lot of London accommodations in this price range.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying near King’s Cross — it’s become this incredibly well-connected hub that most tourists still overlook. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross St. Pancras, which means you can be in Paris in two hours or catch the Piccadilly line straight to Heathrow. But what I really loved was having Russell Square and the British Museum practically on your doorstep, plus all those great pubs along Lamb’s Conduit Street.
The Neighborhood Feel
Camden and Bloomsbury blend together here in this really nice way — you get the academic, bookish atmosphere of the university area mixed with some of Camden’s creative energy. There’s this excellent little café called The Espresso Room just around the corner that locals actually use (always a good sign), and Marchmont Street has some proper neighborhood shops that feel authentic rather than touristy. The whole area has this lived-in quality that makes you feel less like a visitor.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this four-star studio isn’t going to wow you with amenities or blow you away with design — but that’s sort of the point. It’s honest accommodation in a genuinely great location, and the price reflects that. You’re paying for the independence of having your own space and the convenience of being so well-connected to everything London has to offer. If you’re the type of traveler who spends most of your time out exploring anyway, this place gives you a comfortable base without the premium you’d pay for staying in Covent Garden or Marylebone.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
