Overview
First Impressions
The Amazing 2bed flat 10min to Wimbledon tennis courts is exactly what it says on the tin — a straightforward two-bedroom apartment that gets you close to the action without the fuss of a traditional hotel. I mean, sometimes you just want space to spread out, and this place delivers that in spades. It’s housed in a converted Victorian building on Wimbledon Park Road, and while it won’t win any design awards, there’s something refreshingly honest about its no-nonsense approach.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Wandsworth — you’re genuinely close to Wimbledon (those tennis courts are actually a pleasant ten-minute walk), but you’re also well-connected to central London. The Southfields tube station is about a seven-minute walk away, and honestly, that District line will get you to Westminster in under 30 minutes. What I really appreciated was being in a proper residential area where you can grab groceries at the local Sainsbury’s or duck into one of those corner pubs that locals actually frequent.
The Space
This is where the flat really shines — you get proper bedrooms with decent-sized beds, not those cramped hotel doubles that leave you fighting for duvet space. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune on eating out, and there’s enough seating in the living area for four people to actually relax together. The WiFi worked perfectly (crucial for me since I was working remotely), and I was surprised by how quiet it stayed despite being on a fairly busy road.
Practical Considerations
Look, this isn’t a boutique hotel experience with concierge service and Egyptian cotton sheets. What you get instead is flexibility — check yourself in with a key code, come and go as you please, and have actual space to live rather than just sleep. The bathroom’s compact but functional, and while the décor is pretty basic, everything works as it should. I’d definitely recommend bringing your own toiletries since the basics provided are quite minimal.
Why Guests Love It
You know what really makes this place work? It’s the combination of location and value that’s hard to beat in London. During Wimbledon season, you’re paying a fraction of what hotels charge while being closer to the courts than most expensive options. Plus, having that kitchen means you can stock up on strawberries and cream from the local market and have your own little Wimbledon viewing party. Even outside tennis season, it’s a solid base for exploring southwest London without the tourist crowds of central areas.
Locals suggest to book apartments in London around South Bank for riverside dining, market stops, and easy city crossings.

"unfortunately not as good as hoped"
property was clean, modern and very close to public transport
What could be improved: the property was so close to public transport it was really loud. you could hear literally every train as the windows were not effective at keeping the sound out. it was also really warm in the property so we tried leaving the windows open but then too loud to sleep. these were major drawbacks to our stay.

"Great location. Host was very responsive and helpful."
Right next to the underground station and a bus stop. M & S, Tesco and Sainsbury’s within a 2 minute walk. Large apartment. Wasn’t noisy even with the train station so close.
What could be improved: Internet cuts out when a train comes through

"Great place to stay for tennis tournament."
The apartment was nicely decorated and clean.
It wasvery close to Wimblefon and the tube station which is what we were looking for. It's a perfect location for the tennis tournament.
What could be improved: There was no air-conditioners but there was a fan in every room, which helped.

We liked. the amount of space and being close to the Underground train.
What could be improved: The instructions did not match the washer-dryer in the room; very confusing.

"Would love to visit Wimbledon again AND stay here!!!"
Location location location for spending days at Wimbledon! Take a brisk walk of about 10-15 minutes and you are there!!
Feels like it is upstairs from the Southfields station, how convenient! Wimbledon traffic was heavy early in the mornings and to late at night, but did not bother us as we were up for the same reason too ;)
Kitchen had so much & more and everything worked!
What could be improved: Had some issues with the wi-fi at some points and also to watch Wimbledon on TV when we were not able to get in at Wimbledon Park.
Would have loved a blanket for one of our children sleeping on the couch (teenager son and daughter did not quite like the idea of sharing the double bed every night)
The pictures on the ad reflects the property very well (it is better in real-life though)

"Very poor"
The location as it is close to underground. And the spacious livingroom.
What could be improved: ALMOST NO INTERNET and no one help if you had an issue during your stay.. The manager is very rude in communication and answers so slow only when we checked out he answer for the complaint denying any problem !!!. He never admits there is something wrong with the place. FOR INTERNET once we connect our devices.it disconnects or gives very low unstable speed. The room that had a window and sofa in the, living room mostly had bugs as it was itching for the body. The curtains are old and some slides with no control, and he accused us we broke it! I never had such communication from an apartment operator(un polite, faking, and un responsible) thinking we complaint only for compensation. I believe the place would be better if different person takes care of the place. I have pictures for the bug effect on my mate hands. And when i approcahed the manager with messages, he ignored and only after we checked out he started to send pictures accusing us of damaging and electric plug and a curtain which they were like that since we came but it wasn't urgent to complain about them compared to the worst internet service and bugs thing. Instead he called us liars however he would have sent anybody to check this issues while we,staying but he didn't even care!!
I DONT RECOMMEND, ZERO COMMUNICATIIN, ZERO CARE , ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE.

"Guter Ausgangspunkt in die Stadt"
Das Apartment liegt direkt an der U-Bahnhaltestelle Southfields in einem kleinen Stadtteilzentrum. Viele Einkäufe des täglichen Bedarfs können einfach zu Fuß im Umkreis von fünf Minuten erledigt werden. Es gibt auch ein paar Restaurants und Cafés im Umfeld.
Die Wohnung ist einigermaßen sauber und in gutem Zustand. Sofa und Betten sind bequem.
What could be improved: Das Internet hatte einige Aussetzer und war insgesamt eher schwach.

What could be improved: 在火車站樓上,嘈音極大,特別在夏天,無冷氣下要開窗。
所謂有泊車位,實際上是泊街/自行向 council 申請臨時泊街。
電視無上台 (即睇不到節目),要自行擁有 Amazon 户口,及登入用户資料才可用。
屋內設施,与實際不乎。有焗爐,但無冼碗機。以當時租金,勝價比十分低。
