The kitchen is what impressed me most, honestly; it’s fully equipped with everything you’d actually want to use, not just the bare minimum. I mean, there’s even a proper coffee machine and decent knives, which tells you the owners actually understand what travelers need.

Garden and Outdoor Appeal

That private garden access is the real game-changer here. It’s not huge, but there’s something special about having your own outdoor space in London — especially one that’s been landscaped with care. I spent most mornings out there with coffee, watching the neighborhood wake up. The previous guests had left some herbs growing in pots, which felt like this nice continuity of people actually living here rather than just passing through.

The five-minute walk to Brixton claim is actually accurate (I timed it), but what they don’t tell you is that Herne Hill station is even closer and connects you to central London just as easily. The immediate area has this village-y feel that’s rare in Zone 2 — there’s a proper butcher, a bakery that does incredible sourdough, and Brockwell Park is literally around the corner. Brixton Market becomes your weekend playground, but you’re far enough away that you’re not dealing with the late-night noise.

"Awesome!!"
The privacy, independence, the size of room , living room, the patio . And the prorietor even told me I could wait for additional 1hour if i've not finished with what I came to do. It was truly home far from home.

"worth the money"
The flat was excellent. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. The only way to improve the stay is to make the outdoor terrace more cozy.

"A nice, clean place with very helpful and attentive hosts."
The hosts are very proactive and make sure in advance that you have everything you need during your stay. We only stayed for a few days, so the number of messages felt a bit much 😄 — but they’re always ready to help with directions or recommend local attractions, which is definitely a plus. The accommodation itself was clean and nicely furnished. The key handover via a lockbox made late arrivals much easier. The bathroom was well equipped, including toiletries and even some feminine hygiene products, which was a thoughtful touch.
What could be improved: As for the location, it’s a bit mixed. The nearby Brixton area might be a bit outside the comfort zone for someone used to quieter suburban neighborhoods, but we didn’t encounter any issues during our stay. I would suggest improving the exterior appearance of the building a little — though that’s just a minor detail. What concerned me more were the apartment doors; while they closed properly, I personally would feel more comfortable with sturdier, more secure doors.

"Great spot for Brixton nightlife."
Really good communication. Big space and loved the outside space with a back door! Super convenient for Brixton and nightlife.
What could be improved: We live in the countryside and love fresh air inside. Obviously in London that’s a different thing. Very sweetly the heating was switched on for us, which made it a bit hot at night.

"attentive hosts & little treats"
the hosts were amazingly hospitable! they were easily contactable on whatsapp and gave all the information needed before you even need to ask. I stayed for my birthday and they put up simple and cute decorations and left me out a little cake🥹 i would definitely recommend and would 100% stay again

"Great flat and host, but the garden needs a bit of upkeep"
The facilities and appliances provided were great, the flat was beautifully decorated, and the host was very helpful.
What could be improved: The garden was not very well kempt and I was stung by stinging nettles which were growing at the sides and between some of the patio slabs.
