Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Acton Central Apartment on Churchfield Road, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked into a quiet residential street that feels surprisingly peaceful for being so close to central London. The building itself is typical Victorian London housing, which honestly gives it more character than those cookie-cutter hotel chains. This four-star apartment sits in flat 3, and while it’s not flashy from the outside, that’s actually part of its charm.
The Space Itself
Once you’re inside, the room opens up nicely — there’s proper space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The kitchen is what really sold me on this place, though. It’s actually functional, not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. You can cook a real meal if you want to save money or just fancy staying in after a long day of sightseeing. The layout flows well, and you know what? Having your own space instead of a standard hotel room makes such a difference when you’re staying more than a night or two.
Location Insights
Here’s the thing about Acton Central — it’s one of those areas that locals know about but tourists often overlook. You’re genuinely well-connected to the rest of London without paying Zone 1 prices. The Central line runs right through here, so you can be in Oxford Circus in about 20 minutes. Plus, there’s actually decent local life around — proper pubs, a good curry house down the road, and that kind of neighborhood grocery store where the staff remember your face after a few visits.
Practical Considerations
The 8.2 rating makes sense when you stay here — it’s solid without trying to be something it’s not. Parking can be a bit tricky on this street (typical London, really), but if you’re relying on public transport, you’re sorted. The flat stays quiet at night, which surprised me given how close it is to the main road. I mean, you’ll hear the occasional bus, but nothing that kept me awake. The shower pressure is actually decent too, which anyone who’s stayed in London apartments will tell you isn’t always guaranteed.
Why Guests Love It
What works about this place is that it gives you a proper taste of living in London rather than just visiting. You’re not stuck in some sterile hotel lobby — you’ve got your own front door key and can come and go as you please. The value is honest too; you’re getting more space and amenities than most London hotels at this price point. It’s particularly good if you’re staying for work or want to explore different parts of the city each day, since the transport links make everything accessible without that tourist-trap feeling you get in central zones.

"Warm, cosy, and spacious stay over Christmas"
The apartment was warm and spacious. The location was perfect for visiting family. Sainsbury is close. Good coffee shops nearby. Excellent nail and hair salon next door.
What could be improved: We stayed here twice over Christmas, and while the property itself is comfortable, communication with the management company was lacking. During our first stay, we notified them that the listed Wi-Fi password was incorrect and even provided the correct one, but nothing was updated — the wrong password was still shown on our second visit.
There’s no dishwasher, yet dishwashing tablets were provided. The coffee pods supplied didn’t fit the coffee machine, which was disappointing. Also, there’s no hairdryer available, though fortunately there’s an excellent salon right next door — Sylvia gives a marvelous blow-dry.
Overall, a pleasant stay, but the management’s lack of attention to detail and communication could use improvement.

"Great stay, would return."
Great location, warm, great shower, clean, good size. Easy access.
What could be improved: Some hangers might have come in handy. More pillows would have been good. Bigger bin bags would have been useful.

"Very good"
Nice towels,very clean
What could be improved: The kitchen was very poorly provided for. Only two pots and one tiny frying pan. Nothing at all usable for the oven . The can opener was broken,no corkscrew,no small plates. No instructions about hot water,or recycling....

"Superb"
Walking distance to the academy I was at for the week and had plenty of local shops and coffee shops close by.
What could be improved: Bed head could be fixed so it's quiet but otherwise no complaints.

"Good stay to visit family"
Property location was Awesome! Space in the apt was bright & roomy! Great kitchen & living area, tv, bathroom was good- shower & water pressure was Great! Communication was also great!
What could be improved: The only thing I would suggest changing was the bed(mattress). It was extremely uncomfortable. Other than this I loved this property

"ok apartment, responsive staff"
comfortable apartment (pretty crowded for a family of 4, still ok, though), nice neighbourhood, close to shops and restaurants (a good Japanese restaurant nearby), 10 minutes walk to Elisabeth line, 15 minutes walk to district line and 5 minutes to Acton Central Line.
What could be improved: At checking time, the apartment had not been cleaned after the guest before us. However, the guy I talked to was very responsive and tried to help. It took 3-4 hours for the cleaning lady to do her job. Besides that, all was good.

"The location is good but otherwise can't recommend"
The only thing good was the location, because we needed good access to the Wembley stadium. Other than that, can't recommend and if we come back for another game in London, we will likely stay in this same area, but will not stay here again
What could be improved: To start with, the apartment looks way more run down in real life than it does in the photos. In short, it overall feels like they are trying to save as much money as possible and get as much as possible out of you. We had to figure out ourselves that if you want heating or warm water, you have to turn on something in the kitchen. Also had to search for the wifi password in the living room closets. Would be nice if they put up a guide on a few things in the flat, rather than guests having to discover things themselves. Also, note that free toiletries for them means toilet paper (1 1/3 rolls for 3 nights) and hand soap, so bring your own shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The bed was way too soft, you could feel the springs and was just uncomfortable. But what was weird was that when we came, there was no duvet, just a mattress cover, but then I found one in the closet, which was quite weird and made me doubt if it was even cleaned. Wanted to sleep on the couch instead, but couldn't stretch it out as it appears to be broken. The communication also wasn't great, they just notified us that the room will be ready late and then forgot to let us know when it was (all after they first said we can't leave our bags there early when we asked nicely, but suddenly when the room was supposed to be ready late, we suddenly could leave the bags early). There was also some mold on the coffee machine so didn't have any coffee there. We've stayed in a lot of places so far and this one is quite close to the bottom of the list (don't think I've ever rated anything under a 6, so I felt bad giving this anything less than a 5).
