Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Zozy Clitterhouse on a quiet residential crescent in North London, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address. This unique boutique hotel sits tucked away in what feels more like a peaceful neighborhood than a typical hotel district — and that’s exactly the point. The building itself has this understated charm that doesn’t scream “hotel” but rather whispers “hidden gem.”
Location & Getting Around
Honestly, Clitterhouse Crescent isn’t where most tourists end up, but that’s what makes it interesting. You’re in proper residential London here, in NW2, which means you’ll see how locals actually live rather than just tourist hotspots. The nearest tube stations require a short bus ride or walk, but I found that quite refreshing — it forces you to slow down a bit and notice the tree-lined streets and Victorian houses that most visitors never see.
The Room Experience
Each room at Zozy Clitterhouse feels deliberately different from standard hotel templates. Mine had this quirky mix of vintage furniture and modern touches that actually worked — I mean, where else would you find a reading nook with genuinely good lighting? The bathroom was compact but well-thought-out, and the bed was one of those you don’t want to leave in the morning.
Daily Rhythms
There’s no grand restaurant here, which might disappoint some, but the continental breakfast setup in their cozy dining area felt more like visiting a friend’s house than eating in a hotel. They source locally where they can, and the coffee is properly strong. For other meals, you’ll venture into the neighborhood — and trust me, discovering that little Turkish place around the corner or the pub that’s been serving locals for decades becomes part of the experience.
Why Guests Love It
What strikes you about Zozy Clitterhouse is how it doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. It’s genuinely boutique in the best sense — personal, thoughtful, and refreshingly unpretentious. The staff knows your name by day two, and they’re happy to share insider knowledge about London that you won’t find in guidebooks. If you’re looking for a rooftop bar or concierge in a suit, this isn’t your place. But if you want to experience London from a quieter angle, with a base that feels more like a well-curated guest house than a commercial hotel, then you’ve found something special here.

"Very good"
Easy check in and security. Bed was comfy. Shower was good with clean towels. What you'd expect for a budget room. The location was good with easy access to Central travel routes.
What could be improved: Toilet seat was broken. Parking was a bit confusing as the roads are permits, but no general parking sign for the property. No bin bags in the room. No TV. Kitchen did not really have any stock of tea/coffee/milk.

"Confortable, affordable, practical and cozy!"
Kitchen fully equipped, comfy beds for a feel days and nice clean towels. The house is comfy and it feels like home, not a hotel. Which is brilliant! Its perfect for young couples searching for a budget room that offers the basic living conditions with elegance and comfort. The neighbourhood around is far from the city center but very quite and nearbthe train station. So acces to the city center is easy and. Wifi sometimes goes down but generally works as well as the heating system.
What could be improved: The rooms needes a feel reparations. I stayed in 2 rooms and found the same problems in both regardless to the instalation of the house structure. toilet seats are too small and constantly moving, ventilation in the toilet dosnt work and some lights were deattached from the sealing. But nothing that compromised our stay. It was still very confortable and nice.

"Clean, neat, comfy. Highly recommend"
The beds, pillows & bed linen super comfy & clean.
What could be improved: Only downfall is the room I had had the sensor light for outside right outside my window. So every time it was triggered the blinds were not sufficient to stop the light waking me up.

"Very pleasant stay. Accommodation good but should specify lack of headroom"
Convenient location good facilities
What could be improved: The room we stayed in wasn’t geared for someone tall. My partner struggled to stand upright as we had an attic room with sloping ceiling.

"Great value for the price"
There is a National Rail station very close and a Tube station 20 minutes away, close to a giant Tesco. The room we had was on the first floor and thus had a descent view of the street, and was right opposite the kitchen, which also had windows.
What could be improved: When we moved in, the room wasn't clean. However, the support team arranged cleaning 1.5 hours later, and we were compensated for the delay.
Also, there is no mirror in the bathroom, but there is one in the room.
