Overview
First Impressions
Welcome London – Drury Lane sits right in the thick of Theatreland, and honestly, you can’t get much more central than this. I mean, you’re literally on Drury Lane — yes, that Drury Lane from the nursery rhyme — with the Theatre Royal practically next door. The building itself is one of those classic London townhouses that’s been thoughtfully converted, so you get period charm without feeling like you’re staying in a museum.
Location & Neighborhood
This spot in London is actually brilliant for getting around. Covent Garden is a two-minute walk, and you know what? You’ll probably find yourself wandering through those covered markets more than once. Holborn and Temple stations are both close by, which gives you options for getting anywhere in the city. What I really appreciated was how quiet Drury Lane gets in the evenings — all the theater crowds disperse, but you’re still right in the heart of everything.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but clever — typical London style where every inch counts. The design feels contemporary without trying too hard, and the bed was genuinely comfortable (not always a given in central London). What impressed me most was the attention to details like good lighting for reading and enough plug sockets where you actually need them. The bathroom was small but well-designed, with a proper shower that had decent water pressure.
Practical Touches
This four-star property gets the basics right in ways that matter when you’re exploring all day. The staff actually seem to know the area well — they gave me solid recommendations for places to eat that weren’t just tourist traps. There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly, with Borough Market, Chinatown, and dozens of great pubs all within walking distance, you’re spoiled for choice anyway.
Why Guests Love It
What really works here is the balance — you’re staying somewhere that feels authentically London without paying West End hotel prices. The building has character (those old staircases and high ceilings), but everything functions like it should in 2024. I’d definitely stay here again, particularly if I was planning to catch shows or explore central London on foot. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it.

"Excellent location, very clean and comfortable unit, full kitchen"
This unit was in a very central location in London, around 8-10 min walk from Covent Garden tube station. Very walkable. Many nice shops, restaurants, and cafe all around. The unit is clean and has a full kitchen.
What could be improved: There is a washer in the unit, but no dryer, so we just air dried our clothes. Also, I'm not sure if the drying racks in the washrooms are supposed to turn on - we could not find the switch. There is a safe in the second bedroom, but it did not work. We messaged the host and they said that it is not a feature currently included in the unit.
Overall, this was a very comfortable suite.

"Great little location for exploring London’s West end."
The location is perfect for seeing the sites of London’s West End.
What could be improved: The living area lacked a bit of comfortable seating, and the property was very warm, a bit too warm for us. Even with the windows open.

"Great location, spotless, great host. 5 star stay"
As a family of five, perfect base in Covent Garden. Minutes walk from the opera house and also musical Matilda. Everything was spotless. Great communication from host as well as an excellent stay guide. Showers were excellent with great water pressure etc. Super TV. Grateful too that they made up the sofa bed for me.
Really recommended place to stay.

"Perfect apartment for our stay in London!"
Amazing apartment! We loved everything about it, from the location to having two bathrooms with amazing showers, it was a great set up for a family of four traveling. It was nice having two twin beds in one of the bedrooms for the kids!
What could be improved: Climbing the stairs with the luggage, but it's just one floor, and I would definitely stay here again despite the stairs! I am glad we knew about the stairs in advance, so we could prepare ourselves for it!

A family of 4 (13 and 16-year-old boys) stayed in this awesome apartment.
It was a last minute booking but the communication was awesome. The response time was instant and they were super nice. The location was fantastic. I wish we could have stayed more than 1 night. The place is well-equipped, modern and clean spacious rooms. The check-in was easy and the touch panel key system was a plus since we didn't have to carry the key with us. The clean and modern bathrooms were perfect for us. It was nice to have separate bathrooms for kids and adults.
