Overview
First Impressions
Veeve – Wimbledon Wildflower sits on a quiet residential street in London’s SW19 — honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking for the address. This unique boutique hotel without official star rating doesn’t need flashy signage because it’s all about what’s inside. The building itself has that classic London residential charm, though I’ll be straight with you — it’s not going to blow you away from the outside.
The Wimbledon Connection
What really works here is the location if you’re planning around tennis season or just want to explore this part of South London. You’re actually within walking distance of the All England Club, which means during Wimbledon fortnight, you’ll be staying where the real tennis fans do — not the corporate crowd in central London hotels. The area feels properly residential, with local pubs and cafés that don’t cater to tourists, which I found refreshing after dealing with the usual London hotel zones.
The Accommodation
The room I stayed in was more like a serviced apartment setup — practical rather than fancy, with a small kitchenette that’s actually useful for making morning coffee or storing groceries from the nearby Sainsbury’s. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile, though some might find the furnishings a bit dated. You know what though, it’s clean and functional, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for a place that doesn’t chase star ratings.
Getting Around
Wimbledon station is maybe a fifteen-minute walk, which puts you on the District line straight into central London — I found this way less stressful than staying in Zone 1 and dealing with all that chaos. There’s decent parking on the street if you’re driving, though you’ll need to figure out the residents’ permits situation during the day. The neighborhood has that village-y feel that parts of South London do so well, with the common nearby if you fancy a proper walk.
Why Guests Appreciate It
Look, this isn’t a place that’s trying to impress anyone with marble lobbies or fancy room service — and that’s exactly why it works for certain travelers. The staff are helpful without being overly formal, and the whole experience feels more like staying in a well-maintained London flat than a traditional hotel. If you’re the type who values location and authenticity over glossy amenities, and especially if Wimbledon is on your agenda, this place delivers on what actually matters for exploring this corner of London.

"A lovely place to stay for a large group (we were 5)"
The closeness to station and bus routes. The size and comfort of beds (except in one of the bedrooms) and lounge furniture. Loved the quietness of the street. Lovely home!
What could be improved: It would be good if there were guidelines explaining how to use the showers, the front door, the appliances and how to manage waste - we are from another country so did not know how things work in Wimbledon.

"Family stay"
Location is great for access to Wimbledon and central London. The house was functional and the kitchen reasonably well stocked with pans/utensils. Lots of toys were enjoyed by the kids.
What could be improved: Booked with young children. Unable to control dangerous scalding hot bath tub water. We had to cool it with jugs of water from the sink. Given this is mentioned in reviews for months it should have been fixed.
Stair gate brackets are present but there is an extra fee for provision of stair gate and another fee for its installation.
No instructions are present for the boiler and kitchen appliances. No clear instructions on how or what to recycle.
Management company were very polite but took 2 days to give a meaningful response to the Internet not working or offer a solution.
Though there is an empty parking space on the driveway you are not allowed to use it when paying £350/night. It must be booked and paid for at additional cost on another website.
Compared to the photos the garden did not seem well maintained or appealing.

"2 families travelling with adult children"
Location was great and very comfortable. Street was quiet and easy to navigate. Plenty of room for our 2 families to have space.
What could be improved: Front door was tricky to open at times but once we worked out its nuances it was fine. Main shower was sticky but quickly sorted by the Veeve staff

"Disappointing"
Great location, it’s comfy
What could be improved: Bathroom hot water is too hot, can’t change the temperature accurately

"Decent property for family and easy access to London"
Ground floor space for our grandson, combined with toys / books was a great touch. Rooms were of a decent size. Great location for closeness to the tube. Very clean.
What could be improved: Couldn't get the upstairs shower temperature correct. Constantly scalding, downstairs shower was easier to control.

"We had a fabulous time at this lovely property, would definitely recommend"
Amazing spacious property in lovely area close to train station, shops, restaurants etc. The large kitchen/dining/family room was perfect for our party of 7. There is a separate living room too but we never needed to use it. We had a couple of small issues but they were overcome & we wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again. Veeve kindly let us have a late checkout foc for our inconvenience re the door lock which was much appreciated as our flight home wasn’t until evening. Our family had come together from Scotland & Arizona to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and found the house to be the perfect base for what we wanted to do and a comfortable retreat after busy days sightseeing etc.
What could be improved: We had a problem gaining access on arrival, door wouldn’t open, however the quick response from Veeve when I called them was good. The shower in the main bathroom was difficult to work out and you could get scalded in the process so instructions would be helpful. The tumbler style glasses in the kitchen had white dishwasher residue and smelt bad. Instructions for washing machine and microwave would be helpful as we weren’t acquaint with these particular models.

"Very charming home close to train station, restaurant’s . Great location!"
The house is super close to downtown Wimbledon. So close to pubs and stores, restaurants.
We had an issue but was fixed promptly.
What could be improved: There is no AC. Didn’t have cable to watch Wimbledon.
The water was cold and then boiling hot for showers.

"I will never stay here or recommend this place. Terrible."
the location
What could be improved: Trying to contact ANYONE regarding the property was a nightmare and fruitless. The bathroom/hotwater situation is a literal lawsuit waiting to happen. The kitchen had absolutely nothing in it. We had to buy it all.

"Great location but wouldn’t stay again"
Location, size
What could be improved: State of repair, lack of electrical points, size and quality of the beds, but most importantly the fact that this is not a holiday home if all the owners stuff is still there, they didn’t even empty the fridge. Rubbish everywhere and being directed to take out someone else’s rubbish, the management company should do this, not a paying guest. And being charged gbp 400 for cleaning when the house wasn’t that clean, I would not cook in that kitchen and the bathrooms are filthy

"Muy mejorable"
La ubicación y es una casa grande
What could be improved: La ducha de arriba imposible ducharse el agua quemaba.
