Urban Rest Stratford Apartments
First Impressions
Urban Rest Stratford Apartments sits on a quiet street that feels surprisingly peaceful for being so close to everything. When I first walked up to the building on Cherry Park Lane, I wasn’t expecting much — but honestly, this place surprised me. The entrance is clean and modern, with that understated style that tells you they’ve put thought into the details without being flashy about it.
Location & Getting Around
You know what I love about staying here? Stratford gets overlooked by tourists who think central London is everything, but this area actually works better for a lot of people. The Westfield shopping center is literally a few minutes away — and I mean the massive one with every store you could want. Plus, you’re right by Stratford station, which connects you to pretty much anywhere in London without the hassle of changing trains multiple times.
The Olympic Park is right there too, which sounds touristy but it’s actually just nice to have that green space when you need a break from the city. I’ve walked through it early in the morning, and it’s got this calm energy that you don’t find in Hyde Park with all the crowds.
The Apartment Experience
These aren’t your typical hotel rooms — each apartment feels like someone’s actual home, just cleaner and with better Wi-Fi. The kitchen setup is what really sets this place apart; you’ve got a proper fridge, decent counter space, and everything you need to make real meals. After eating out for days, being able to grab groceries and cook something simple was honestly a relief.
The beds are comfortable (firm, but not too firm), and the windows actually open properly, which seems small but matters when you’re trying to get some fresh air. Storage space is decent too — I could unpack properly instead of living out of a suitcase.
Practical Details
The staff here gets it right without being overly involved. Check-in was smooth, they gave me the local information I actually needed, and when I had a question about the washing machine, someone sorted it out quickly. There’s parking available if you’re driving, though honestly, you probably won’t need a car from this location.
Internet is fast enough for work calls (I tested it), and the building stays quiet even though there are families and business travelers mixing together. The four-star rating feels about right — it’s professional and comfortable without trying to be something it’s not.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it solves the real problems of staying in London for more than just a weekend. You get space to spread out, a kitchen so you’re not forced to eat every meal out, and you’re connected to the city without paying central London prices. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in town — it’s just doing the apartment-hotel thing really well, with enough local character to feel like you’re actually staying somewhere, not just passing through.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
