Overview
First Impressions
Two Bedroom Flat C in Kentish Town sits tucked away on Fortress Yard — honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the entrance. This unique boutique hotel feels more like you’re staying in a local friend’s thoughtfully curated apartment than a traditional hotel. The building itself has that classic North London brick facade that blends seamlessly into the residential streetscape of Camden.
The Space
What struck me immediately was how this place manages to feel both spacious and cozy. The two-bedroom layout gives you proper breathing room — I mean, you can actually spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped; I found myself making proper coffee in the mornings rather than settling for instant. The furnishings have this modern-meets-vintage vibe that doesn’t feel forced or Instagram-staged.
Kentish Town Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about this location? You’re far enough from the tourist chaos to feel like you’re experiencing actual London life. Kentish Town has this authentic residential feel — there’s a proper local pub around the corner, and the morning dog-walking crowd gives the area genuine neighborhood character. The Kentish Town tube station is a short walk away, which gets you into central London quickly enough, but you’ll find yourself wanting to explore the local cafés and shops first.
Local Discoveries
I discovered that Camden Market’s northern edge is practically on your doorstep, but without the overwhelming crowds you get at the main market area. There’s this fantastic independent bookshop just down the road that locals actually frequent — not the touristy spots everyone writes about. The area has several decent restaurant options within walking distance, from proper fish and chips to surprisingly good Middle Eastern places that stay busy with locals even on weeknights.
Why Guests Love It
This isn’t your typical hotel experience, and that’s exactly the point. The flat gives you independence to come and go as you please, plus the genuine London residential experience that’s hard to find in traditional accommodations. Parking can be tricky (it’s London, after all), but the tube connections make a car unnecessary anyway. The space works particularly well for small groups or families who want more than a cramped hotel room but don’t want to deal with the complications of a full rental property.

"Superb"
It was close to the venue's shops and amenities really good value for London at least. it was clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: The shower was a bit small not much room to move around to be honest. Admittedly one of the beds had a slight sloping issue like it was sloping downward so your head was lower than your feet. but just turned around lol

"Overall good stay not too far away from the city centre"
The apartment is not far away from the Kentish Town station, which is about 30 minutes underground journey to the city centre (depending on the location) and overall pretty clean. The price was okayish for London, I guess.
What could be improved: 1) We were waiting for the cleaning to be finished, although we arrived on check-in time, even a bit later.
2) The kitchen would benefit from one more chair - there were two of us and only one chair. Maybe a folding one to save space.
3) The inside of the fridge was not very clean, and there were a bit of groceries left. The towel on which the dish rack was standing was not clean as well.
4) Regarding the check-in instructions: there are pinpads both on the front door and the apartment door. The code we were provided by the host was actually for the apartment door, and the key we collected from the groceries store was for the building front door. It was a bit confusing - we tried to use the code for the front door, and it didn't work.
5) The apartment door and its lock didn't look very reliable, to be honest, the door being a bit flimsy and thin.

the location was good the neighbours were lovely when finding the place. the beds were lovely and comfy. The cleanliness of the place was immaculatem couldnbt have asked for better. We struggled with getting in the code on the door because using it wasnt clear. Contacted the host and someone was there within 5 minutes to help. An amazing response
What could be improved: there is a very loud electical noise coming from the front door area. The shower was hot cold hot cold, could be betterwith WIFI as the TVs they dud have but they only worked if you brought a HDMI as there was no internet in the flat

"Ok for one night. Surprisingly quiet."
Booked Flat C but was placed in Flat B. Convenient location for my needs. Quiet too.
.
What could be improved: I was given Flat B as was told C had been taken only when I arrived. Fridge didn't work and had some dodgy electrics. No teabags or milk. TV in lounge did not work. WiFi did not work. Annoying keypad to get in.

"I would book again."
Everything was very well done and organized, they are very flexible, helped us with what we needed, and we received excellent service.
What could be improved: The only thing lacking was the cleanliness of the kitchen; the dishes were poorly washed, and the bathroom floor was also dirty. Just the cleanliness!

"Gran opción para pasar unos días en Londres"
La ubicación, la comodidad de las habitaciones y la limpieza
What could be improved: Quizá el precio, porque no deja de ser un apartamento pequeño, y que no haya persianas
